Does anyone know if there is a dress code for entering the British Embassy? I know most places like embassies won't allow flip-flops or shorts etc. Any advice would be appreciated!

    Thanks :)

I haven't noticed anyone wearing shorts or flip flops on my visits to the embassy. Safest to do smart casual. :)

I think it would be disrespectful to enter any Embassy wearing shorts and flip flops especially if you were going there for a meeting, but I'm old fashioned though :)

T-shirt jeans and shoes last time I was there, they don't expect a suit, but you should not look like you just got off the beach :)

Thanks for the input guys. Smart casual seems fine. I just can't bear wearing pants and a long sleeve top in the heat of the Philippines! A small sacrifice for a short appointment! :)
