I have one of those sir. Handy for the odd brief brownout...and protects from overloads. I haven't bothered with a solar panel for it YET.
Take it you mean you have it connected all the time and use it's AVR to cover your basic household appliances ? We get frequent outages here together with bright and not so bright light bulbs from one day to the next - probably be a wise investment if we were staying.
John I have mentioned before that great saving are to made with the weekly shop by working smart, actually it does not need a lots of smarts to enable this and perhaps a better term would be to shop sensibly, one of my Tenants was to let me try some frozen chargrilled mixed veg done Italian style these were really good and thought how easy it would be to recreate this which I then did, throwing some mixed veg into the Air Fryer adding garlic granules and Italian herbs, I did not include potatoes in the mix but had I been feeding a family of 4 I would have done, next time I will add some chopped Bacon to make this a one pot meal. The original bought mix I tried first come from Sainsbury and priced at £2.75 for 500grms a 2 person serving if that? this has a kind of brand name on it that would make any sensible person laugh; INSPIRED TO COOK, this is just dumb considering it only requires heating up, there is loads of great reviews to its credit, but obviously these cannot be taken seriously anyone who would waste money on such an expensive product must be a Cupid Stunt. Two young families that live opposite me they have doubled up on a couple of their refuse bins, extra can be bought from our council but there is no extra charge for the additional bin to be emptied, sometimes on Bin Day their two bins are overflowing with packaging and drinks bottles which must be a sure sign that they are not sensible shoppers.
Yes @HONEST DAVE ... sensible's the word, if only my wife was: Classic example today, she's been out and got a kilo of lechon for lunch, portion for an adult would be 100gm - generous probably 120 gm which would leave approx 1/2 kilo left for later... more than enough as I only have some toast or something light later... When it's nearly all gone, partly because my 11 yr old daughter likes to scoff the meat first and then eat her rice, my 13 yr old son then says we won't have any left for sudan tonight... I then suggest to my wife (for about the 100th time) it would be better if she portioned out the meat and put the rest in the fridge for later... I get the... "As long as they eat it's ok" reply TBH I worry about taking her to the UK - over here it doesn't make any real difference but there I can see her bungashiousnous causing me headaches I really don't need.
It is OK to bring her over to UK if you handle this in the correct way? even there in PH I can see you are making a mistake? let me tell a little story this happened just the other day. The neighbour from next door was to call me from the Golf Course asking my assistance, his wife was stuck with her car in the petrol station and could not get it started he has had problems with this BMW car before and had a set of jump leads in it just in case, anyway this still would not start from a slave battery so a young man gave me a push and I bump started it no problem, I then said to her give this a run around the town for 20mins and take it to an Independent garage I know of, turns out the starter was faulty to renew this on a BMW costs £500, I would not have any German Car for this very reason; they are not very, full of the latest modern Tech which is apt to go wrong and they are expensive to repair. The following day I was to meet the Husband where I was to give him some advice, Get rid of the Car and also the Wife and replace both with younger models of Asian brands both being much more economic to run, not like the BMV using high octane fuel Asian cars all take low octane and the same with the women a couple of handfuls of low octane white rice is all they require per day and they run very well on this, from a cold start in the bedroom they heat up very fast, they never get headaches and the high energy rice means they are never too tired. So John this is where you are making a mistake you feed your Pinay too well and have raised her expectations to a high level, better you had kept her on the diet she was used to, Rice 3 times a day with a Sardine or a Chicken wing on the odd occasion and they will be very appreciative with that, never ever give them Red Meat that changes their whole perspective and they become more like their European counterparts, Aggressive Fire breathing Dragons that want to wear the trousers in the house and in the Bedroom they are always either too tired or have Headaches.
