1959, the Year that Changed Jazz

    I still play "Kind of Blue" album (CD).
    My kids also like it and we often listen to it when we eat together at the dining table:
    It is timeless, as is Dave Brubeck's "Time Out".
    I haven't listened to Charles Mingus or Ornette Coleman though. Too free form for me.

    Good one @aposhark ... bass bumpadoodadoodoo still makes the hairs stand up... So What... amazing stuff... unfortunately had to listen to it more often than I would have liked ... "enchanced" with spoon tapping from my father :D

    No but he did like his Jazz...

    I listened to Kind of Blue and Time Out this week ... they're incredible musicians ... I'll try and get to the other two next week :like:
