Congratulations to all who recently got their flr m approved. Please help me by answering this question. I first arrived in the UK on the 9th of March 2017 under spouse visa 33months. My visa will expire on the 1st of December 2019. When is the first day I can start applying for flr m? Also am I on the right topic or thread when it comes to requirements and step by step procedure? Thank you all in advance xx

You can apply up to 28 days before expiry of the current visa. Just ask away and others will offer answers and opinions. .

Thanks bigmac! I'm quite confused about this. Some people said that i can apply on my 30th month after arriving in the UK then less 28days because i came as a spouse visa with 33months direct from the Philippines. Some said only those who came in the UK with a fiance visa 30months are allowed to apply 28days before their visa expire. I don't know which one I will follow?

@bigmac this reads as though you can apply anytime upto 28 days before the expiry date! for clarity it is you can apply 28 before the expiry date and no earlier

Hi everyone! I hope somebody could enlighten me with my query. I applied for FLR last month by post and its been successful.. I received all my documents back Except for my passport. after 3 weeks, I received a letter Confirming my visa has been granted and ask me to wait for 7 to 10 days for my Brp card to arrive. 2 Days ago I got my Brp card but no sign of my passport.. Is anyone experience the same? Shall I just wait for it by post or do I need to write a letter to H.O regarding my passport I'm just worried.

Does B1 have an expiry time? I note some are only valid for a couple of years which I find ridiculous as it's not like you forget how to speak English! Also can you advise what the test entails, when my wife took the one in Manila she was talked to for about 10 minutes, a very expensive 10 minutes! Thanks in advance.

    Steve, hope your all well!
As far as I know the B1 does not have an expiry date and we are considering getting my wifes daughter to do it on her 2nd Leave to Remain in readiness for ILR.
The examples we are using are on youtube and also some sample test papers on the approved colleges websites

Hi Mattecube, hope all is well with you and your family. Just wondered if your wife's daughter did complete her B1 and if you can confirm it does not have an expiry date? I really don't want to waste money on the A2 test as my wife's English is perfect. Also, I note there is a paper based test and a computer based test, any advice on what is best?
