    Morning

So the wifes visa runs until end feb 2019 just a couple of questions about the process..

We live in Scotland so do we just send the application documents off to Sheffield ? ( no interviews ) ?

2nd FLR(M) costs i see there was updates in Oct 18 is the correct price £ 1523 IHS £500 and the IELTS B1 £150 ??

Lastly what sort of timeframe should we allow for visa processing 1 month before or.. ?

    Thanks in advance..

    ielts is £150
flr fee is just over £1000 ( i just saved you £500 there )
dunno about the IHS fee--was £500--may have gone up. will be doing my wifes flr m next month.

    i think it all goes to--Durham ?

are you going to do it online or postal ?

    Goes to Durham
    No interviews
Apply within one month prior to the current visa running out.

I presume she came here on a fiance visa since it’s her second FLR(M) so you can apply 28 days before the visa expires.

It’s first FLR(M) then not second but nevermind I don’t want to confuse you with it. If she came here on a spouse visa then the earliest she can apply is on the 30th month anniversary of her arrival in the UK minus 28 days. I’ll let you do the maths ;)

Incorrect it has been raised yes she attends a post office not all post offices do biometriccs you will have ask at your local PO for nearest one.
    No TB test
Another English test at approved centre A2 pass required

a timely subject for us. we are applying for 2nd flr towards the end of the month. will be doing the online form. not going for same day service in person this time.

ive got a nagging thought my wife will have to do some kind of biometric at the post office that will issue her brp.

or am i wrong again ?

yes--i waded through lots of pages...lost the will to live and reached for the brandy.

shes got her brp back from the DVLA--finally--yesterday--together with her provisional driving licence, so we can crack on with her flr app now--brp expires on 18th nov.

yep--the post office we have to go to is in portsmouth--so another ferry trip required. just got to run the gauntlet of all those shops in gunwharf quays.

You do the biometrics at a P.O. that does them,You submit your old BRP with your FLR application and when the application is successful you wilget a new BRO posted to your home address.
It will be valid for the duration of her next FLR visa
