Temperature now climbing because the TV and one computer plus monitor are on and I'm occupying the room putting out about 120 watts from my own body as well.

I have two of these things as the LCD on one of them is fading, they are very close on temperature and only a tiny bit of disagreement on humidity, setting the clock on the bigger one is too hard so I never bother :)

Out delivering today, Borth 35c, Llanbrynmair 37c, my last drop in Aberystwyth at 8pm 27c. My van's freezer unit failed, could only hit -1c. Must have got through 3 cans of coke, 4 bottles of 330ml water (one of which was warm, yuck) in 6 hours. Felt very weak at the end of my shift at 9pm. The body just can't take it anymore!

I don’t think it’s quite as bad as we all think, certainly for a couple of days anyway. I found working at home a bit hot and sticky but not life threatening. We live up north though so didn’t get the full brunt of it.
Having said that I spent time in the Sahara desert (where a lot of this current heatwave is being sourced or thereabouts) without an air con. The flies love it!
