    Thanks everyone :)

I will wait until the new year to see what channels it has that the Sky package does not.
I have Netflix in the package being set-up in the first week of the year.

Have you got Amazon Prime Mike, the Amazon Fire TV stick is not a lot of good without it, yes you can load some free apps but it is the paid for content that you would want, particularly the football, it was nagging me the other day about premiership football with a countdown timer.

I do use the Fire TV in preference to both the TV's Android app capability and the Sky+ Box's apps, but Sky+ and Sky Q can host these apps too.

I like iPlayer on the Fire TV and Netflix as the listings integrate to Amazon Alexa, but I also have UK TV Play, ITV, the Channel 4 apps for on demand on there as well.

Johnny Bravo was a purchase, love that cartoon, The Expanse is top notch sci-fi in 4k and that shows off both the Fire TV Cube and the now somewhat old TV.

I don't have Amazon prime, not sure I can get it. I have an IPTV sevice which has all the sky movies, sky sports, BT sports and much more. Cost me 8,000 pesos for 12 months. When I spoke to the guy about it working in the UK he said it will work better in England because that's where the server is.
Also, you can download 3rd party apps which gives you more content. Best one I have come across is 'Modbro' loads of movies and sports channels including sky and BT sports. all free. Just need to watch your storage.

I find that Amazon prime even at nearly 80 quid a year is good value for money, as just the free delivery involved makes it more than worth it.

117 orders this year, this next one is a food order or rather luxuries order, I wanted a bottle of Champagne but they are all out of the one I wanted, so steaks chocolates, Prosecco and some other stuff :)

The free delivery is great and for £79 a year the programming (as in TV) would be worth it for that alone, particularly the exclusive shows like 'The Expanse' and 'Picard'.

Prime is not available in the Philippines it would be good if it was but it's all the extras over and above special delivery that make Prime work for me.

Well, in this case you can watch movies on your laptop or Desktop by logging in into your account and clicking on "Prime Video" on the account bar. before the 1st firestick I used to run an HDMI cable from the back of my Desktop to the TV

Which it makes the whole experience of having a Firestick even more interesting, especially when one's favourite team is playing live. :D

I am not sure what you guys are talking about. I don’t have a fire stick and feel I must be missing out?

I just click the Prime button on my TV remote control and it takes me to their movie selection. What does the Firestick do?

I've been with sky for a very long time but they got to the point where I felt they were robbing me, 85 quid a month for broadband phone and the Entertainment package, I dropped the broadband and switched to BT then threatened Sky that I would leave sky TV whereupon they gave me standard HD channels for 19 quid a month but on my Sky+ box as I didn't want the Sky Q upgrade.

In total my broadband TV and phone bill is now £45.99 a month, obviously on Sky+ I don't get any 4k content.

In that case your TV has been built with an inbuilt Amazon Prime app.

It's a streaming stick running a flavour of Android, it can host apps but because it is an Amazon device it natively has Amazon Prime and Amazon Video, the latest ones also have Alexa I think via the remote, you can speak to the remote and get Alexa to respond through the TV.

I think Mike's doing that I just wanted to confirm that it was the premiership via Amazon that he was watching, without a 4k laptop screen the quality won't be great which he mentioned earlier.

My work Surface book is very close to 4k resolution and the picture on it is superb but my eyes are not that good at laptop viewing distances now.
