Hello Forum, I am a German living in the UK. Not long time ago I find a Girlfriend in the Philippines, She is from Ormoc. I try to find a good Balikbayan box Company in the UK. I find a good supplier in Germany but it looks like there are only 2 Companies in the UK. Can may some one help my with this case? What are your experience? This would be nice. Best greetings to all, Erzengel Stay Safe and Heathy.
Hallo und Erzengel Entschuldigung, ich kann Ihnen bei Ihrer Anfrage nicht helfen, da ich noch keine gesendet habe. Ich hoffe, Sie finden, wonach Sie suchen. (Sorry I can't help you with your query because I have not sent one before. Hope you find what you are looking for).
Google is your friend on this one! Type in Balikbayan box and a number of companies come up We have used Forex before on 2 or 3 occasions and found them good. A lot will depend on if the company has a collecting agent in your area.
I found FOREX to be extremely reliable. http://www.forexcargouk.com/prices.html been using them for a number of years. Prices are what they are, the company has been going for many years and as I said, they are reliable. From time to time there is a promotion, so it is slightly cheaper. herzliches wilkommen, woher stammen sie aus Deutschland ?
LBC should have an agent there... search for LBC/ email Customercare@lbcexpress.com tell them where you are - they have depot in Acton I think. There you go - Don't mention the virus
Good morning, Thank you for the answers. I have send all the company I was able to find in the UK emails and ask for a price list for there service. As I mention only 2 come back with no computer generated emails. First email from LBC was a computer generated email and not answer my question only the second one was a proper email and addressed my issues. So you advice Forex (Mattecube, Aromulus) and LBC (John). I will get in touch with Forex ones more to get a quote. As well I find the following company >>balikbayanboxuk.co.uk<< may some one know about them? Thank you all for your help. I will try to keep you posted. PS. If you need a supplier from Germany to the Philippine please let me know I guess I have found a good one.
The Forex cargo prices are shown on their website Clear background London pick up price Dark background outside London pick up price Email: sales@forexcargouk.com Phone: 0208 813 7064 Fax: 0208 797 5923 Address: 23 Fairdale Gardens Hayes, Middlesex UB3 3JA I don't bother with email, I just phone my local agent in North Wales for delivery of empty boxes to my place and pick up when ready And as mentioned, you can have promotions from time to time, which help in saving a few £££ Tchuss..
I never bother with e mails I will dig out our local agents name and number ( maybe the same guy for North Wales) and post it on here
We've used Forex for our boxes and they've been fine. I didn't expect the online tracking to work, but to my amazement it was quite good. We knew when the box had arrived in Manila so the family ensured someone was at home for the following week to collect the box. I pick the boxes up from a nearby shop and the local agent collects them when we're ready. Currently got these two which will be collected very soon. Slightly below average sized dog for scale. The medium sized box fills up incredibly quickly! Probably worth doing 2 XL boxes instead.
I would put more tape around that box. Heck of a lot more. just to be on the safe side. I usually criss-cross it top to bottom and sideways too. I was told that at the London depot, the boxes are shrink wrapped in polythene, but I will believe it when I actually see it happen.
Eventually, we'll probably go through 3 rolls of duct tape wrapping those boxes. For now, they are just sealed shut. When our previous boxes have arrived in the Philippines, they've not been wrapped in polythene. They are collected in Lancashire and I *assume* that Forex eventually ships all its boxes from one UK location?
When she first moved here, my wife used to send these. She used LBC an few times, and then Forex. I think she got bored with doing it though. We've had a warbrode full of "stuff to send" and two flattened Forex boxes under our bed for about 5 years now!
last year--in time for xmas..my wife sent 2 large boxes. One contained TWO flat screen TVs--one 42" and 0ne 40" plus a small portable with DVD slot. So that means we are down to just FOUR in the house now. She also cleaned out poundland of instant coffee, spam, corned beef, chocolate Stacks of clothes and shoes..mostly from charity shops. even a duvet. The boxes were totally bound up in brown tape--like an egyptian mummy. They weighed more than a cubic yard of concrete. They both got there intact..eventually
When we moved here finally. We sent 11 jumbo BB boxes with a local BB company. All my power tools and hand tools, computer and monitor most of her clothes (5 boxes) and so too much to mention.
