    Hey, you good folks.

So I and my wife want to bring my wife's mother to live with us.

My wife is on a spouse visa at the moment.

We were thinking of doing the tourist visa although, we all want it to be long term so which visa would be the best to look into?

    Cheers.

The only visa option open to you is the short term visit visa (valid 6 months) these are difficult to get approved, it will depend on how strong a compelling case you can put together on your ma in law returning to the Philippines at the end of the visa.
Good Luck you will need it

and remember--if you do manage to bring mum over--she will not be allowed free NHS treatment. so i hope you have a very healthy bank balance.
we've been through all this in our household. its all rosy in theory--but in practice far more practical if your wife goes home for a visit now and then..plus the everlasting money transfers.
