Can anyone suggest which airline company offers a good price for a one way ticket from Philippines (specifically Davao) to UK? good price = cheap but offers good services.
Malaysian Airlines is cheap with excellent service (based on my bf's experience) Hehe. Not sure about what others would suggest. PAL's one way ticket is absolutely a rip off. It's almost the same cost as having a return flight.
Booked my wife's flight from Manila to Manchester with Turkish airlines one way. total cost £ 602. Booked with Crystal travel, can't comment on Turkish airways as she's not due to depart till next week.
Google is your friend You might get lucky and find a reasonable price, tickets are obviously cheaper if you are flexible on travel dates.
saudia airlines. my wife used it in feb--short layover in Riyadh--also cheapest one way deal on skyscanner.
Any reason it has to be one way? Think you'll find one way fares with most airlines aren't much cheaper than a return. Flying from Davao you have limited options on airlines. I fly Singapore Airlines out of Davao to Dubai via Singapore. Best bet would be to fly from Cebu, lot more options including Emirates. London/Cebu return at the moment is £480 with Emirates for my daughters visit at end of March next year. SkyScanner is a good place to search flights, but everybody has their own favourite.
I would suggest you try eBookers which will quote you fares from Davao to the UK. The best - and often the cheapest - routing is Philippine Airlines to Manila, thence KLM to Amsterdam and finally KLM to the UK - either one of the London Airports (including City) or a regional airport such as Bristol, Cardiff, Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, etc.
Hi! I'm on a fiance visa. And we don't plan to return to the Philippines until my first FLR (after a year or two maybe, if allowed). Davao-Cebu-Singapore is too much for me. I'm not a big fan of changing planes. But if that means cheaper price, I will put that into consideration. My fiance has been using flight centre but we're looking for other options as well. Thank you! I'll look into this.
I just checked PAL. Price is too much! LOL. But the good thing is they offer a direct flight from Manila to London. Let's see about this.
Yeah, Google is the best but quite confusing as there are a lot of results shown. I opted for a less hassle option, just ask others about their experiences. hehe
I'll definitely check skyscanner. If I'm just going to change planes, is it okay not to obtain a visa from that country? I haven't tried a long haul flight before.
I've used PAL twice and I don't have problem with them. What's good is a direct flight but we're not considering PAL on a way flight. The price is almost the same as having a return flight. They're making so much money out of it obviously.
If you are planning to buy something for the next two weeks, its going to be expensive. I just bought my one way flight to scotland and we cant find anything cheaper than usd 800 and i know its going to become more expensive once december kicks in. In the end, decided to fly etihad (mnl-edi). I think gatewick, lhr and manchester have cheaper fare. lemirates have a sale for 400£ return but thats gla-dxb-mnl not the the other way around.
Thank you to everybody who gave suggestions and shared their experiences. Airline booking has just been sorted. Done and dusted!
We ended up with Singapore Airlines. Less layover time. As I'm flying 2nd week of January, nothing is cheap.
Got a cheap flight with Eithad airlines. £350 return..... Manchester>Manila 4 hour stopover. Used Budget air. 24th January...
