I though it might be good if people could post their Positive Visa details here for May.
If you have had a visa granted, please provide details and a time line so others waiting may get hope that things are moving.

When did you put your intended date of travel?

Our VFS appointment is tomorrow in Manila and we will try use priority service and scanning service. Hopefully we get results in 2 weeks as we got notice appointment set for the 10th July...

Getting the result in 2 weeks might be unlikely with how things are going on at the moment.

Hi @Matt P I think some applicants who applied under new rules are still pending.
    No news at all....
As far as I remember @Numpters and @Mrs.Watson applied last april 2017.

    Welcome to the growing list.

I think a lot more of Filipino applicants out there are still waiting for a decision as well.

@Brom27 So True. I'm not expecting too much though. If it is taking ages for UKVI to process applications under priority service then it probably would take longer for standard service sadly. :/

I did email them last week and a half ago but never got a reply from them. I suppose it's due to the changes they've made when making an enquiry. I'm tempted to ring them today to make a follow up but then I realised is it really worth it? Might write an email though as it works out cheaper than calling them.

    Thank you :) @Jul Tolentino

I don't think it's worth calling them. They will not say anything about the application anyway just that it's still on the process.

I hope you hear a good news from them soon @Mrs_Oggy :)

@Brom27 You're right! The last time I rang the person I spoke to was asking loads of questions. I could tell she is trying to prolong the phone call geez.

I caved in though and sent them an email just now. Let's see where my 5 quid and some pence is gonna take me. LOL

They said I will get a reply within 2 days, However, at the bottom bit of the page says If I can't get a reply I should ring them. I'm crossing my fingers and toes I'd get a reply by next week.

Has anyone tried to give them a ring/sent them an email? I hope we all get positive news by next week.:cat::cat::cat:

My wife sent an email maybe 2 weeks ago and had no responce from...unfortunately im not surprised.
Did anyone watch the bbc questions from the audiance to Jeremy Corbin and the 'wicked witch' the other day?
Jeremy was asked by a woman in the audiance about immigration because her US husband had been deported due to her lacking income. He openly said the current situation is unfair with dividing families and keeping spouces apart. He seemed to suggest they would get rid of this unfair system and focus more on being selective as to people coming here to work and live and not like the wicked witch who sees people in our situation ie UK taxpayers as easy targets to keep the numbers down. Unfortunately its likely she will win and im afraid in future it will just get harder for us all who have not yet got our FLR

Hi @Matt P I suppose it's due to the new implementation of UK Contact but then again that's just what I assumed. Did she try sending an email again?

No, i've not seen the bbc questions the other day. Only just watching it now on youtube.

I've found this on the VFS website not:

    NON-EEA NATIONAL FAMILY APPLICATIONS

Following a Supreme Court judgment, the Home Office has paused decision-making on some applications – in particular, those failing to meet the minimum income threshold for British citizens sponsoring a non-EEA partner and non-EEA children. The reason for this pause is to enable the Home Office to consider the implications of the judgment. All other applications will continue to be processed and decided as normal.

That information has been on the VGS global site for a while now. Further reading about the decision revealed that the Court judgement was issued in February...nice of them to tell us when we applied especially when offering the priority service. Some.people have had an email saying their applications have been put on hold and others havnt..we haven't so far had one so i hope it stays that way. I was speaking to someone on another forum who spoke to someone in the immigration department and they were told that the put in hold applications will be started again at the end of June once they have sought advice about the ruling. It does seem though that is more the applications that involve children that have been put on pause.

i cant see any point in anyone applying for a visa if the sponsor doesnt meet the criteria--they are simple enough and clear cut, even if unfair.

@Matt P oh right. Thanks for the information. I've not received an email regarding my application being pending so I guess that's a relief. However, I am expecting an email from UKVI today or tomorrow so will let you know what they say. It would have been a lot better if we can track the status of our application online instead of pestering them with updates LOL.
