called this number today,02034811736 at 1.27 per minute to find out what is happening to my wifes visa application...listened to music for 5 minutes before I spoke to someone ..explained to this lady we paid priority plus all the other extras ....I told her I have not even received a email or text from the day my wife handed her application in ,she took my wifes GWF number and told me the application is in the system but could not tell me any more than that ..she told me that until your 60 working days are up nothing she could do ...told me to call back if I hadn't heard anything after 60 working days...only on working day 44 at the moment
rob your right it is a waste of money calling them
matt I guess you have called them already if you havnt it might be a good idea as you are way over your 60 working days
called my agency this morning ...she told me things seem to be getting worse at Sheffield not better
so none the wiser after all the chasing up....back to waiting and worrying

Paying for priority is no different to not paying right now as you still have to wait for that 60 working days to get information...should get at least some kind of refund after all this is done!

I wrote to my local MP about the costs (including all the add-ons like the price of a TB certificate etc) and the appalling service for the amount of money we're all paying. Don't think it will help anyone at the moment but got a reply from her office quote "I will discuss your case with Anne (my MP) as I think she may want to write to a minister too about the policy-side of this in terms of costs and service received unquote

    Hi Dave
No i haven't called them as i dont want to waste any more money on them. I emailed and all i got was an email that everyone else gets. Nice paying £5 for a copy and paste standard email.
My Loval MP got back to me after making a number of enquires. He got this resp9nce from an Entry Clearance Manager at Sheffield.
"Your application has raised specific issues that are complex in nature, which have required the Home office to investigate further. Unfortunately the HO is not able to to a timescale forbthese enquiries to be concluded."
So we are still no wiser...is this the truth or just another fob off!
Yes my income was not the most traight forward as in the tax year i had emloyment, partnership income and self employed income, but even so all the figures were compliled by a chartered accountant and all tax paid forbthe tequired amount of income so why this would cause them a delay i have no idea..simply by checking on the HMRC would verify all this. Anyway...ive given up trying to chase...just have to sit and wait it out now.
Does anyone know if there is a final cut of point where they are required to make a decision? 120 working days?

i dont know if there is a cut off point where they have to make a decision matt, you might be right about 120 days, it does take that long for some people to get there answer if not straight forward..not heard of anyone waiting longer than that ..i am feeling your frustration at your situation ..you cant get information from them ,why did it take an mp to get a response ? they should be informing you, not leave you stewing ...i really hope you get some good news soon you have waited way to long

Hi Pete, any news yet? You're on Day 56, I believe... I'm following your progress closely as we have a similar situation.
Waiting for that email with the IHS payment link for my daughter too. That or the "not straight forward" excuse email.. lol.

Hi Yellowfour, I had an email on the 9th asking for copy of Step Daughters birth certificate. We had already provided that when we had the docs scanned at VFS but sent it again as requested. Obviously someone is at least looking at it now it seems. Cant see me meeting the 60 days standard though. Yes on day BD 56 so am expecting the dreaded email next week.

Thanks for the info, Pete :) At least you know that your application is no longer buried under thousands of others. Here's to hoping something positive happens next week for you and the rest of us waiting...

Working day 47 today. The other half and I have gone through the really excited stage of when we first submitted the application, to the annoyed and frustrated 'why is this taking so long, our application was a straightforward one stage',which lasted from about working day 30 to 40. We're now at the 'oh well, it will happen eventually, these incompetent bureaucrats never do anything in a hurry, as long as it's approved stage'. Hopefully the next stage is enjoying a celebration drink at home together some time in September and my mrs saying 'i thought it was supposed to be summer here still' :):). She's looking forward to the cold weather actually....not sure how long that will last!!!!

oh wow surreydave..very relatable..our application's on working day 49th today..just like you my hubby and I's experiencing all those stuff..from excitement, climax to irritating/annoyed/bored stage..and now yeah the "ok-fine-try-to-ignore-it-keep-ourselves-busy" stage it'll come for sure can't believe what's taking them so long to view check and assess when they already acknowledge/received the documents in sheffield..and to think they already asked for all the payments for everything..i feel for your wife who missed the summer in UK..my hubby's expectation too of us bein together for summer is now moved to winter..hoping they'll soon end the agony of waiting with a positive response.

Ours was straight forward also. We went through all those stages and also had thoughts it would be refused as taking so long, we eventually got our decision on day 58. Fortunately my fiancée will get the tail end of summer and like you @surreydave she is looking forward to the cold and hopefully snow:lol: I'm sure after a few weeks of wet and cold she will feel different though. Hang in there hopefully won't be too much more waiting for your decisions @surreydave and @RamenLover

I'll be moaning more about the wet and cold than my other half if the previous 44 years of my life are anything to go by :):):). Not much more 'hanging in there' to do i'm sure. Hopefully we'll have an Indian summer we all get to enjoy.

as ive said before---its all a goverment scheme to reduce non-EEA immigration figures. i bet they will shout it out when the figures for the recent few months are announced.

    Hi all,

Anyone could help me? Out of curiosity checked my visa4uk account.
Not long ago status was complete.. Now it's in active in red bold colour. What does it mean?

Any one checked their visa4uk account recently? Waiting day 80+ from application last April.

    Many thanks

BD 61. As expected I quote from the email

" Unfortunately, the processing of your application has not been straightforward and we will be unable to decide your application within our customer service targets. We are continuing to work on your application and aim to make a decision as soon as possible" .......I only used savings route so should have been straight forward.

I have 2 young children who need to be attending school soon in the UK but cant make any sort of plans because of the incompetent idiots at UKVI. Only sent one for the wife but nothing for the step daughter.

I will now have to make plans and return to the UK on my own and wait for as long as it takes.

Has anyone actually got a decision within the 60 days lately on Priority that has applied from the Philippines?

I have again wrote to my local MP but it took the UKVI 20 BD to reply to him last time with a non answer. I don't expect them to be able to help to be honest, it was more a way of venting my anger. Not calling or emailing Call Centre's wont give them the pleasure of getting more of my money
