I submitted mine 6th of April. Got an email from UKVI saying it's currently being processed but they have not made a decision yet. So yeah it could be because of backlog. Have you heard from them?

Mrs_Oggy is that priority or standard?

@Matt P That's not good is it. Did you email them again regarding your application? If it is being processed then you just have to wait 60 working days for it. I've counted mine and it puts me on the first week of July too. How's your wife anyway? I hope she's doing well and not anxiously waiting for her VISA. As it was the case with me last week but just had to let it go as it's out of my control.

@Rob Mine is just standard. Didn't bother with the Priority as I had a feeling it will be in shambles with all applications being forwarded to Sheffield. Did you pay for priority?

Oh dear. I remember paying for premium service is it? But ended up waiting for hours in the premium lounge. What annoyed me was the lack of order in the premium lounge. There were travel/visa agents that time I was there. It's as though they own the place. All the application forms were laid in front of the VFS officers although it's not their turn yet. There's no room for me to arrange my documents when I was called at they occupied it all. It looked a lot more organised outside the premium lounge and wished I've not paid for it. The other VFS lady was rude too. Everybody could hear her whining about one application being a pain...and I thought it was very unprofessional of her. That's just my sentiment though. Never will I pay for it again too @Rob

    Hi Mrs Oggy
Im glad to hear tou had an email finally staring your application is being looked at...gives us some hope at least. We applied on the 7th so hopefully oir turn soon. Yes my wife is doing ok thank you...I Think im the one struggling...shes trying to support me im affraid...miss her terribly.
I do hope you get your visa soon and let us all know your progress.
Im hoping the first week in July too as that would be the 60 working days..if they can stick to it. We havnt emailed again as they hadn't bothered to email back the last time so seems rather pointless.
I think my wife would agree with you about the premium lounge...she was there 4 hours. Forst the put her in the wrong queue...she had a ticket for the Australian desk....:frust: which made her miss her slot...she got there in the end though bless her. For the amount of money we have to part with you would like to hope ther service would match.
Best of luck with you though...ill be keeping a close eye on here for updates:like:

Just a question....did they contact you to say they were processing or was it a reply to a request for an update? I emailed them at the end of April and got a reply saying they were processing and need to make further enquires...turns out a standard response to shut us up.

My wifes TB test runs out shortly and she tried to book another appointment today. They need her passport for the appointment which she does not have obviously. Am i right in thinking she needs an up to date TB test to come to the UK if she gets her visa?
Another question - is it VFS Global who hold her passport while the visa app. Is being decided or the British embassy? She wants to try and contact them to request that she picks up the passport rather wait for a courior to deliver plus she has to go to Manila anyway to collect her CFO sticker. If it is VFS global does anyone know how to contact them...she cant find a telephone number or email??

She don't need another TB test really, it won't be asked in the airport. In the PH Immigration CFO and the visa is important and in the UK border they will only ask to see the visa and a few questions perhaps.

I'm not sure where your wife's passport is right now but I'm thinking that it is with the Embassy since VFS doesn't have anything to do with that, they are only third party partner that prepares the application.

Thanks Brom so you think no need to worry about renewing the TB test then, good to know.
I'll see if i can get Shiela to contact the embassy then about the passport. That does make sence them having it. Tha ks again for the quick reply

I have another question. My wife said a document she has stayes that it is VFS global that will send her passport back to her via courier, they may well receive it from the embassy and then dispatch.
Could my wife email the embassy and request to collect rather than have it sent? Has anyone else done this before or would this cause problems?
Shiela has to go to Manila anyway to get her CFO certificate but that requires her passport. If she could collect the passport she could pick up her certificate the same day.
    What do you think, possible?

My friend once tried that, she wants to pick it up rather than sending it through courier but she was unlucky. The VFS already dispatched it.

There is no contact number for VFS which is a pain so what you have to do is go to VFS yourself and ask them not to send it coz you will have to collect it (but I know she can't do that since she is not from Manila).

I think all you can do is wait for the passport and go to Manila for the sticker.

I have an update...my solicitor contacted me Wednesday evening because he had been contacted by the Home Office. They had said they had documents missing from the application...anyway he had confirmed to them that they had been submitted in Manila and would have been scanned. Had actually had most of them still on his system so emailed them straight away. Away at least we know now that they are processing the visa. How long it will take them to make a decision though I have no idea. Im surprised they have not emailed or text my wife to tell her that the application has been started seeing as she paid for that service too....
Ill keep you posted with any updates. Hopefully soon :)

*Matt P, I do not trust these people to tell the truth. It took your solicitor to contact them , for them to admit there are documents missing?
And if he didn't, would they have contacted you or waited for Christmas before doing something?
There are lots of us going through the same thing, they have a massive problem and do not care about us one bit. Even though we are their customers.
Like I said before never again Priority.
I urge people to tell as may people as you can to not use it. As it is a waste of money.
If the income falls then maybe they will do something.
Minimum, we must insist on the refund. Maybe even group together and hire a solicitor to see if we can hit them for compensation.

    Money paid "Priority" April 23rd.

Wow. That's just crazy. Missing documents? So their Scanning Service is not reliable too huh? Now, I'm worried.

My daughter and I had our appointment June 5th. Paid for Premium Lounge (never again), Priority and Scanning Service like you did. I specifically asked two ladies from VFS if there's a delay in visa processing and they said "none that they heard of" neither did the UK embassy give them any notice of delays. So I asked to confirm if Priority applications would still be processed within 10 days, and they BOTH said yes. I wish I've read everyone's posts about paying for Priority before I applied. Oh well, too late now :(

Is Sheila still trying to get her passport back, Matt?

No, it was me who emailed them to ask for an update on my application. I kinda thought it was a standard response. Oh well...nothing I can do but to wait I just hope it will not be more than 60 working days though.

VFS is failing. They used to be good though and polite. My husband said VFS won't care how terrible their service is because they have no competition so they can get away with it. Sucks though.

@Matt P , glad they are processing your wife's application now. Hope it comes out soon.

It's good that the HO contacted your Solicitor for missing documents. They are probably aware that the scanning service is not reliable. I wish they will do the same for everyone else who've chosen the scanning service.

This could slow down further any outstanding applications if the UKBA switch all its staff or a large proportion to dealing with an influx of applications from relatives who have lost loved ones,
