Hi @Matt P a big congratulations you and your wife! I have been following this thread since day one. Exactly 124 days today, I have received the same email you got. Obviously I was in shocked.

My question now is, was the passport delivered to your wife? And for how long did it took to received the passport? I know it will be weekend, so, I'll start counting on Monday. Another one... Do I need to show a receipt that we purchased delivery service? Did your wife received any tracking information for the parcel? Lastly what courier did VFS use... I know too much question. I've been waiting for this day to come. Hoping will get a positive result.

    Thanks very much. Patricia

2go express express couriers will deliver your passport back to you. You can track it on their tracking website using your GWF number as the tracking number.
You don't need to show receipt but believe only the named receiver can sign for the delivery.

Fantastic news Matt, Have you booked her flight?
Don't forget CFO.. She needs the sticker.

My Situation is await Phil passprt for my daughter, register the birth overseas, then apply for visit visa for my daughter a british citizen( hmm!) Then renew the vingette on the spouse visa and finally travel back to go a get them. Timeframe.... not sure maybe March?

If you intend for your daughter to come to the UK to settle using a Philippine Passport then she will need a settlement visa. You should apply for her British Passport right away which she should travel using - don't bother with the registration of birth at this stage, it will only serve to delay the Passport and can be done later if you wish.

Hi all. Day 117 today. In anticipation of my wife getting a reply this year, can she give written permission to her auntie to accept her passport on her behalf ?

@royal i think that's possible. My other half has used someone from the agency we used for the same thing, just a signed letter with the appliction number, details of who's authorised to collect it and a signature.

Hi all. For those of you whose visas were granted, did they say you can track the progress of the passport online, if you were using the courier service?

Hi everyone! My wife received her visa today.
Woohoo! So happy and so very relieved.

    Just to recap:

    May 15th application and biometrics.
    May 19th documents at Sheffield
    May 24th acknowledged by UKVI

    November 27th visa granted.

    Standard application.

Off to CFO for the sticker on Monday.

I would like to thank everybody on here for their help, advice and patience.
To those still waiting, stay positive. The wait is very frustrating, but it's all forgotten once the visa is granted.

    My best,

    Martin.
