    Hello Everyone,

I just want to get some advice about the tourist visa application. Just hear me out first , when my boyfriend told me that he would like to invite me to visit him for 1 - 2 weeks , I’ll be the one processing the application in Philippines and he will just send his invitation letter with the supporting docs. Honestly I really don’t have any idea how and what it’s all about until I look it up into the uk website but the thing that I’m kinda confuse about what should I write to the ECO .. If I should need to be straightforward that it was my boyfriend whose inviting me or should I’ll follow what stated in the invitation letter from him that a friend of mine invited me for a vacation to make it not suspicious? . As that’s the only part made me confuse .If you have any sample letter would you mind if I can see it or any advice from you can do. Second , how much money should be needed in the bank statement or bank certificate? Third , I’m not jobless. I just want to ask more specific documents for the tourist visa especially when applying it in the philippines. That’s why I’m giving myself a try for asking some advices from here because I know one of you could enlighten me what to do especially some of you have been into my situation too before all your visas granted.

Hope I could hear anything from from all of you especially for those willing to share and loves giving advices .

    Thank you

    Hello!

The main requirment you will need to provide is a strong tie or reason for going back to pinas. So if you have a job, savings, investments or properties, thats a good and strong ties. Having children is not (remember a lot of pinoys are on tourist visa in the middle east and ‘chance’ it or become TNT).

Second, as you say you have a job which is a good starting point. You need to provide a letter from your employer stating the days and dates they are allowing you for holiday. The letter should also includr when you started working with them and your monthly salary. If they can provide 6 month payslips, better.

Then from your side, you need to provide 6 month statment (where your payroll is deposited), copies of savings/investment or properties. The letter from yourself will just mention what you will be doing in the uk so it helps if you know the places you plan to visit, how much it costs (all can be with google). Then the finances or the budget. Will you be paying for everything? Or partially by your bf? If partially by your bf, you will need documents from him.

Thats about the most of it.

    Hello, I’ll be staying at my boyfriend’s place as a non paying guest while I’m there and he will be paying my air fare too but I’ll be the one paying my tourist visa application. So the documents that I needed from him are the following;
    1.invitation letter
    2.6mos bank statement,
    3.his passport and
    4. his properties or investment to see if he really capable too? Just correct me if I’m wrong. Then, do he need to mail to me the original copies or just scan it and send it to me through email? I guess , the vsf needed the original documents from whoever invited you as thats what i’ve read when I look at the UK website.

Thanks for the reply Maley. I really appreciate it.

If he is supporting you while you are here:-

6 months bank statements (stamped by his bank if poss)
    6 months payslips
    Passport photocopy
Pictures of the two off you together
    An itinerary for your visit
A letter from his landlord or mortgage statement
A copy of a recent utility bill.

He can send all these by DHL

    Good luck :)

Hello we are applying for our 1st tourist visa and we thought scanned copies of my documents (the sponser) would be fine ? Is this true

Scanned copies are fine. But if your gf has job in the Phil and has enough savings (or has investments) it's better to just apply by herself (without your sponsorship). That's what I did. It's easier. Has she been to other countries as well?
