The TB test only lasts for a few hours and you will get a result on the same day if there are no complications found on the result. The English test only lasts for 18 minutes and you will get the result in 7 working days.

TB test can ONLY be done in IOM Manila in Makati City. English test can be done in Cebu or Manila either by IDP or British Council.

No English test either for a visit visa. She will need compelling evidence that she has reason to return back home as part of the visit visa application.

Having recently got my wife a visa you will need to be strong about why you will go back to the Philippines, they need to be sure you will return, the first time I applied it was refused even though we are married and I own my own home in the U/K, if she has a job that's good or owns land etc even better, you need to prove beyond doubt that you are not coming to the U.K and staying and not going back.Good things are ACR card if you have one copy of entry stamps on your passport show you are a regular visitor, apartment lease if married with kids schooling checked we have a 2 year old and have looked at the nearest schools it all helps, getting knocked back is not very nice so make sure any info you think will help is put in the letter you write inviting your G/F wife to your house in the U/K.
