Applying with my 1 yo daughter

    could be. whatever happens--the child will have be covered for NHS treatment.

    I've just been and registered to pay... and it tells me this..

    You don't need to continue. You need to pay the IHS in your visa application if you're applying from outside the UK.

    My visa application does say IHS payment completed for both my applications

    yes--i had to go through the IHS stage before i could proceed with the application payment stage.

    did you have to confirm youre not going to live in the channel islands or isle of man ?

    I paid the wife's daughters prior to paying for the application , maybe they are feeling generous

    No, i didnt have to pay, but i got an ihs number.

    So that's 3 recent applications for children..no charge. I wonder if there's been a change of rules sneaked in. After all..UK kids don't pay NI contributions... just the parent (s)

    Just odd that 3 of us all applied in the last couple of weeks.. no surcharge...yet got IHS reference number..and paid the visa fee.

    I have read from other member here that they did not have to pay for their child's ihs as well. I have read too from another forum that some applicants got an email after they the was made that they will have to pay for the child's ihs. I think we will get a notif as well as when we will have to pay for it.
