All was ruin, we rebooked our ticket with all the penalty and just have 2 weeks off at work. All the financial thing as well as times really worth, Now my little man is with me thanks to God. For now sorting the Childcare stuff while mommy is working

Extremely good news shengsei1990, and a brilliant write up which will be very useful to other members taking the same path and bringing their children to the UK :like:

Its worth pointing out to anyone reading the above list of submitted paperwork that the sponsor is self employed.

Hi @bigmac his Visa entry to UK is only valid for 30 days,

You have now completed your application for leave to enter the UK.

If your application is successful, your passport/travel document will contain a 30 day visa to allow travel to the UK. You will also be sent a BRP Decision Letter with instructions on collecting your BRP after your arrival in the UK.

You must collect your BRP within 10 working days of arriving in the UK from:

When i got his BRP it says Valid until 2021 which is a bit confusing, my visa is only valid until 2018 and then i will apply another FLR. I guess i will apply together with him on 2018 even thou his Visa is only valid until 2021. But i read in the Immigration guidelines, you only allowed to renew the FLR 28 days before expiration. And about the IHS Surcharge i pay £550.

mmm--interesting.. so the dependant child gets 5 years straight off---and pays half the adult IHS charge. the 30 day part is the same as a spouse visa.

so--may i ask what the visa fee was ?

this is why i'm curious about who is the sponsor.

in our case---my wife Nida is now working--even as i type this--night shift in a care home. i wonder if we can combine income to sponsor her son--or whether i need to transfer a big lump ££ into our joint a/c to show as savings.

ive not yet created an online vaf4 a/c to see how the child dependant form looks------but certainly the one size fits all appendix 2 form is less than useless.

I think you have to have the ILR to become a sponsor so I'm guessing its down to you as in shengsei1990s case above.

The new 30 day rule is a bit of a pain, it used to be three months.

my British Husband is the Sponsor he had all the documents done thou it took so long communicating the accnt that is why the application took so long as well, were planning to apply before March changes, see now we pay 1,195 instead of 900+ before March. In the form i also write down my income as well to make sure. hehehe.

I also read before, I cant be the Sponsor. Only British Citizen and who had ILR who is allowed to sponsor someone in the UK. I only apply my son as my Dependant and still my Sponsor is the Sponsor of my Dependant.
