Hi all, hope everyone is remaining well. We're in Manila and Manila is in lock down so we can't leave the city and I have reservations with 1 resort in zambales, 1 in batangas, and our wedding is planned at sonya's garden in Cavite on the border of Tagaytay. It would be very difficult to push them back to after lock down ends because my family are coming and they have work commitments. And because what if they extend the lock down. Then we waited for nothing. I don't know much about the law here. So can someone answer please. Are these places legally required to refund us as it is impossible to go there through no fault of our own. Thankyou.
Your family won’t get there, no foreigners are allowed into the phil at the moment, any that do get there are getting sent back out on next available flight.
Sonya's Garden is my main concern as it was 110,000 peso. And I either used my bank or my fiancées brothers bank.
They are? I was under the impression domestic flights were down but international are OK. So people who come from abroad just get returned? Why don't they announce this. Thankyou I'll look into it
Do you think the lock down will actually end when it's supposed to? I'm worried they'll extend it by another month or 2. The numbers of those infected are obviously going to keep going up even with a lock down.
They did announce this, they are only letting Filipino's return, westerners that manage to get as far as Manila are being turned round, but it is unlikely that the airlines will allow boarding as they get fined and have to provide the return travel.
I'm supposed to fly to visit my kids just after the 15th of April, personally I expect that will not happen, I think the lockdown will be extended and I think my daughter's graduation will be cancelled.

It's been some time since I posted this question. So thought I'd say what happened in the end. Thankfully we got a full refund from the venue. My fiancées cousin is a lawyer and she looked at what we had and wrote us a Letter of demand to send to the venue. Yeaturday the full amount of 116,118.00 was in our bank, refunded in full. So fortunately that all worked out.
