Royal baby watching? Ready for the Royal wedding? And ready for the world cup? Well I am already outside the hospital Kate will use, I've deployed my gran to Windsor, and bought the cans for each England game victory. I bought 2 cans ready
I like the Royals but it's their life so let them get on with it. Football I'm afraid I have absolutely zero interest in the subject
I think you might have overdone it with the beers!! If England aren't slaughtered on the pitch, they may well be off it as I can't see that the Russian police would be too keen to protect them from the Ultras who have sworn to 'massacre' anyone English. I read that as of a week ago, only around 10 percent of the tickets available to England supporters had been taken up and that those intending to travel are finding that reasonably-priced accommodation will be very hard to find. Beds in no-star hotels normally costing around £20 are being sold for over £1,000 per night in those cities where England plays its group games.
Well, I do wonder if it will all go pear shaped in Russia owing to soured relations. Though there is plenty of time for things to deteriorate further and France at least will be the same way, the way things are developing now in Syria. Otherwise I have a bit of faith in Gareth Southgate and his new 3 at the back system using Kyle Walker as the right sided centre back and Pickford as a ball playing goalie.
I take an interest. ... But then I am more interested in people who try to set high standards of behaviour, rather than the more usual publicity-seeking scumbags who seem to crowd the headlines, or the real parasites queuing at benefit offices, when not relaxing in our jails.
the time difference is only 3 hours over here so not too bad, could work out good if there are afternoon kick-offs Time for a San Mig or more.
only in the few matches taking place in Yekaterinberg is the time difference between the Philippines as little as 3 hours. Another few, are 4 hours behind. But nearly all the matches will be 5 hours behind as well as another very few, in Kalinagrad, that are 6 hours behind.
having the tournament in that kind of time zone, i.e. eastern Europe/Middle East, is actually the best place to have it from the point of view of being accessible to the largest global audience. It's OK for Europe OK for America and even largely OK (except for the 7pm kick offs, which are a bit awkward) for east Asia. Only in Australia and New Zealand is it really a nuisance. probably not a coincidence that the only game in the entire group stage where there is an 11am kick off is Australia's opening match.
