Where Kristine lives in Tupi there have been reports of armed men (NPA) in and around the Barangay. They have told the villagers they will kill anyone who phones the Police or Army. I think Duterte may have been a bit quick to move the Army from Marawi as I think now Maute has been defeated its created a vacuum for others to move in. Worrying times for me right now.
Your area is ideal because the NPA like operating with the protection of mountains like Mt Matutum.. They were probably in strength up there since Marcos times so if you ask locals,its probably nothing new to them.. If it was a toss up between NPA or ISIS,I know who I would rather have!!
Yeah your right Boots, but for them to come down into the Barangay's is a bit different. Maoist rebels the NPA who are not happy with the Martial Law situation.
