Were they heavily delayed? Ours has been untrackable since it was collected over 3 weeks ago. LBC dont know where it is.

Boxes sent November, arrived February, that's a long time. There was no tracking available apart from calling B & N Lilley and hassling them for any information - all we got was 'its in the distribution centre.'

    I see. Tracking doesn't come as standard with B & N Lilley?

And yes, that is a long time....

Just called LBC to drop a box off, said a delivery time of 5 - 7 weeks after pick-up. I mentioned Haiyan but he said thee were no delays. I'll take it at face value and see if the box gets there by the time we arrive

Hmm so there seems to be problems with both outfits. B&L we get little or no info and need to constantly keep chasing them and with LBC there is a risk of them "losing" boxes. It'll be interesting to see how this ends. Obviously it'll be a while before we send anything but its always good to keep track of how these companies perform

Hopefully the box will still get to its destination. Time will tell. Cross fingers. I dont like the "iffiness" about the whole Balakbayan business, though.

For us boxes to the province always took there time averaging approx 3 months probably but anywhere in Luzon should be about a week after the ship has docked I'd have thought. Obviously the recent diasaters have back looged the system and will probably delay them for some time to come knowing the general efficiency in the PI

Hi! Just wanted to know what's the contact number of the drop off centre here in Manila? I had the number before of Boy Lee (contact person here in Manila, got the number from B and Lilley staff un UK) but unfortunately, my phone reboot and the number's gone. If anyone knows, please post it here. 2 boxes from the UK were sent last November, and still got nothing until now. Thanks!

The number I was given is 025683920 and its Mr Ruffy. Have to try several times because the number comes up unavailable a lot. I think they unplug it.

I don't know if this forum is still active but I thought I'd give it a shot. I want to send some Balikbayan boxes to the Philippines from the West Mids. Twice I rang LBC and request for a Balikbayan box to be delivered to my flat but they never came! I got hold of some couriers but none of the good ones I found cover the West Mids. Anybody got a suggestion for a decent one? Thanks!

Never did get Balikbayan from LBC despite contacting the local agent several times. I have now "requested" a couple of Jumbo boxes from Forex cargo (UMAC). The agent said he will be here next week. Anybody had experience with this outfit?

This was the only information I was given. I did have to keep trying alot as it does ring out or is just unavaible. Contact B&N Lilley again in the Uk and hassle them for another number.

The number I was given is 025683920 and its Mr Ruffy. Have to try several times because the number comes up unavailable a lot. I think they unplug it.

I too have used B&N lilley previously with very satisfactory results after they were recommended on this website.
Unfortunately I will not be using them again after my latest attempt at using their services.
I contacted them over a month ago requesting a box drop off & collection dates for my área....I waited & waited for a response.....nothing.
I phoned them....no reply. I sent an SMS & received a reply which advised me to contact them via their new website & e-mail address, which I did and eventually they replied & gave me a collection date but no box drop off date! I requested & requested & requested....No reply again! then about 2 days before the supposed collection date they e-mailed stating that they had no "large" boxes, so I replied straight away requesting both a médium & small box & please advise me of an approximate time of drop off & when would they collect......Again No reply. then on the morning of the supposed drop off day I received an e-mail stating my box ( not boxes) would be dropped off that day. I immediately replied requesting them to phone me or sms me prior to drop off as I work only 20 mins away and could meet them to take delivery of the box/boxes ( it was raining heavily and I have nowhere they can leave a box outside) & also AGAIN to please advise of a collection date.......again....NO reply. NO boxes were delivered & after numerous phone calls which go unanswered & an e-mail explaining my disgust at their lack of service still no reply.
I am now looking for another balikbayan box service provider.......I contacted the following over a week ago ....forex cargo & tagalog balikbayan,......& have not received replies from either!!!! I wont use LBC as they seem to "lose" a lot of their boxes.
I used to work in the Courier business & know it is not difficult to organise drop off / collection of a package.
WHY is the balikbayan box industry in the UK so disorganised??
IF anyone on here knows a a balikbayan box service provider I have not mentioned who can collect in the Sheffield área, Please let me know as I would like to send a box out for xmas though I know it is now getting a bit late to guarantee delivery before xmas.
    Thanks

We have given up on the whole Balikbayan thing. It would need a great shakeup in reliability to encourage us to use that form of shipment again.
