When I last went up there by bus I think it was about a 7 hour journey.

Check Victory Liner's web site (from Pasay Terminal). More expensive than Jam but modern, comfortable aircon buses.

I land in Manila on the 16th, the wife will meet me at Terminal 1, after a good nights sleep we plan to travel up to Baguio the next day.

Thanks for all the replies, so basically its going to take anywhere between 4 1/2 and 9/10 hours depending on the infamous Manila traffic :D, looking at the various route im thinking we will have to negotiate EDSA, so that could take up the first 3 hours or so..

Haha apparently there own web site describes the timing as "if the conditions are right" when are they ever in Manila.
Last time we did it on Victory liner took 5 to Dagupan and that's only half way there!
Each time I have been on it the issue has been getting out of Manila maybe in the dead of night 4 to 5 is feasible I would allow 8.
That's why many now fly into Clark as opposed to Manila, slightly more expensive but less hassle

I have probably flown into the Philippines 70-80 times,I was based in Hong Kong flights were always cheap, very few times into or out of manila, nowadays I avoid the capital whenever possible.

I live just north of Dagupan . Very few buses take advantage of the new highway, (which only goes as far as a couple of hours minimum away from Baguio anyway) so you will most likely go through the various cities on route... once you've escaped from Manila.

Travelling through the night/very early morning will definitely be your best bet. For leg room, bag the back seats.

Allow 7-8 hours for the full journey to Baguio. They do stop for 'CR breaks' en route.
