Please look at the lists, and refrain from using the companies listed...

We did use Philand Ynterlink on one occasion, and our stuff got delivered ok, but other people we know lost everything through the same company as nothing got delivered...

Thanks to you, I chose Lilleys. My third balikbayan box is on the way. But once I have emptied my home of unwanted items I don't think I will use balikbayan boxes.

As for TVs, I would not send a new TV, maybe an old LCD/LED model if a box needed filling up. Some TVs use a lot of electricity, so make sure any TV is ENERGY STAR rated...

Did they give you a tracking number?

Should be one on the packing list you filled out. If so try their track and trace function.

LBC are generally ok, when they manage to get their fingers out of the proverbial...

My box was collected on Sep 15, 2014.

Here is the history so far, according to the tracking option on the LBC website...

Oct 30 201412:00 AMESTIMATED ARRIVAL MANILA INTERNATIONAL PORT
Oct 22 201412:00 AMESTIMATED ARRIVAL TRANSHIPMENT PORT
Sep 30 201412:00 AMACTUAL VESSEL DEPARTURE
Sep 30 201412:00 AMNEW ESTIMATED VESSEL DEPARTURE
Sep 28 201412:00 AMESTIMATED VESSEL DEPARTURE
    Sep 24 201405:40 PMCONTAINER STUFFING
Sep 23 201411:39 AMACCEPTED AT: LBC London

So, it should arrive on Biliran in plenty of time for Xmas!

Just be aware that if you type a in a tracking number and the system 'hangs' that you have either typed a wrong tracking number of your box is not yet trackable - it can take up two weeks apparently before boxes can be tracked.

    Howerd,

Did you use Lilleys again for your Balikbayan box collected on Sep 15, 2014?
Was everything ok with the delivery?

When my house got flooded, the Lilleys boxes were lost and, despite requesting new boxes, none were received, so I went with LBC Express.

That seems to the case - Brian and Mayvel have seperated and while the original company is trading under Brian, Mayvel has set up a similar sounding company, which kind of confuses things.

Not sure I'd use either of them for the time being until its proven they've improved their service considerably to be honest

Mayvel set up a new company last year, calling it B&N Lilley Cargo Limited. She is the sole director. She also continues to be a director of B&N Lilley Services (UK) Limited.

The two companies are registered at the same address and have the same phone numbers, so it would be a little confusing to know which company you are dealing with and who your contract would be with unless you specifically ask the question! Prices also differ for some box sizes and destinations.

Result: Utter confusion for the customer!

Will use LBC Express later in the year.
They also had some very bad reviews on the net, from USA residents (Fil-Am). People were saying their boxes were opened and items were stolen.
