    Ive seen Englishmen eat them..
I tell them in order to not offend our Filipino hosts,it`s a cultural thing to peel the shell and stuff the whole thing in their mouth at once and chew.

I use to see English men turn away when the Filipino they are with eats Balut. This was several years ago about 15 / 20 at Barrio Fiesta / Parties.

No way. I have eaten bits of grasshopper, frogs, snails, horse, but balut has never appealed.
Julie says she "eats the white and yellow and throws the chicken away, some (Philippine) people eat the bird".

Oh my.. Well it's not half as extreme as some of the food in China at least :|

I think it's about as extreme as you can get, to be honest. Only Filipinos would see it any other way.

What had you in mind ?

Monkey brains eaten from a live monkey, or so it is reported.

Must admit, when I was eating local food with Thai friends a few years ago I found the "Jumping Shrimps" a bit too extreme, so I stuck with beer!

Put live baby shrimps in a pot with finely sliced fresh Thai herbs and chillies, shake it around a bit, take the lid off, they are all jumping out, so you eat them.

If they are barbecue intestines you should try them. First time I was sceptical but have since had them several times from the street vendors.
