Agreed. I had a nice time at Blue Marlin just a bit further up the beach. Going Bantayan in the next 2 weeks again. Also visiting a small island right next to (10 miles or so) Bantayan called Kinatarcan (Guintacan) and quite looking forward to that one. I like to try and visit a new island each time I go to PI.

Looks a nice island from what I have seen. My wife has been there quite a few times. Her mom was born in San Remigio, just across the water.

I have Bantayan earmarked for a visit. The mother inlaw's employer has a place there in Sta. Fe so she visits each year for a working holiday.

The island was hit hard by last years (2013) typhoon.

Well worth a visit John. Wife's extended family has a place there too but I didn't get discount! Like most other islands I have visited I rented a rev n rip and bombed round the island. Baby in toe this time so not possible.

This photo is from "Bantayan Island Nature Park and Resort"

We stayed there for one week a couple of years ago.
My wife broke out in pimples after swimming in the pool and wouldn't go back into the water again.
It was quiet and a long way from a town too.
The owners were very friendly but we wouldn't go back there.
It was quiet rudimentary and the beach was very rocky with lots of sea grass.

Yep that is the Bantayan Island Nature Park and Resort, just went there for a day trip. The pool looked good but didn't go in. I think from memory it was around 30 mins from the town.

This resort may suit people who just want to relax in one place and not really explore the island.

I would go back to Bantayan again as I think it has good beaches, not so many tourists and the town is a fun place to hangout.
