A man with no Filipino children :D

The yaya is often a live-in young girl that gets paid a very small monthly salary
but gets full board, they act like a nanny doing many of the tasks that might otherwise stress out a mother.

We never paid for anyone outside the family, but Ana's older sister Dhang has more or less filled that role for the last 12 years and is part of my extended family over there, Dhang has lived with my children for all of that time and has been a great help to Ana in the past and will be a great help to Nanay just now as of course Ana has not been there since last June.

We've also had other cousins of the kids stay with us for up to a year at a time who while not officially playing the role of yaya they have helped a lot too.

That is usually the traditional concept.

I've grown up with tons of my parent's cousins who stayed with us while they are studying in return for looking after us after school when our parents are at work. There are usually around two or three of them at the same time so its fun. After a few years (after they finish school), another person would join and the same circle would start.

Yeah it is nice having the other kids around, in our case it was my children's own cousins that stayed with us and they tended to be only a few years older than my kids.

People have attended without their GFs being present. It was nice to see @john jones join us as he patiently waits to get things sorted.

Yes no Filipino children which is a blessing as I am 100% certain it would have been a Roy Orbison job between me and the missus by now as in my previous relationships it all went down hill after the kids arrived. The missus has had the op too which is a Brucie bonus :)

I do wonder though what the kids would have looked like if we had have had kids between us.

I believe so, there was one only a few weeks after the one we attended.
