I personally think that re-erecting the old country borders around Europe can only help with the fight against terrorism, I think it will only take one or two more attacks as seen in Berlin before this becomes a serious consideration. A physical border has always helped to keep the undesirables out in the past so why not now?

The problem I see arising from closing the barriers is that southern countries, like Greece and Italy will be swamped with economic migrants masquerading as refugees, and no way to get them to move on to somewhere else.
The EU, as such, for all its good intentions has proved to be toothless and without purpose in the fight against people smuggling.

I think the softly softly approach by successive European Governments towards illegal immigration and asylum seekers needs to be addressed, it appears to me that illegal immigrants and asylum seekers have more rights than the people that are in their own country legally and that to me is very wrong.

In my view any asylum seekers should be kept in custody till such time as their background can be checked as far as possible to find out if they will be a threat to the country they are seeking asylum in, there are too many of them running around Europe unsupervised. Sounds tough but strong measures are needed and if the asylum seekers knew they would be detained for a length of time then they may think twice about coming.

Another hard view of mine is that I do not believe for one moment that the vast majority of asylum seekers are legitimate in their claims, I believe the majority to be economical migrants.

All in all I would just like to see some common sense come to the fore on immigration and the borders around Europe.

The solution is simple: ship them all to Germany and seal its borders. Merkel invited them all - cynically needing an even cheaper source of labour - make her responsible for housing, clothing and feeding them.

So many people voice the opinion that mass migration and the destruction of local cultures is a deliberate act by the EU.

The EU would be foolish to think that, some cultures integrate better than others and some do not integrate at all, and we all know who they are :)
