He tried with law suits but he was never going to block the votes of the people.
    He won't be remembered fondly.

There are still routes where he could try to rely on faithless electors in the electoral college, that is where the electors just don't vote in line with the popular vote and vote for Trump against the will of the people, that is a legal thing in the USA there is nothing in the constitution preventing that or making it illegal.

If by some miracle he managed to prevent the electoral college from giving Biden at least 270 electoral college votes then it would go to congress where it is 1 state 1 vote and the GOP gets 26 votes that way which makes Trump the winner.

Tiny states with less than a million people get the same say as states with tens of millions of people when that happens.

White House has signed off on Joe Biden getting the President's Daily Brief:

I cannot see Biden not being the new president on January 20th, Jim :like:

I'm aware that the transition is under way but Trump will never concede, if by hook or by crook he can get anything pushed as high as SCOTUS (Supreme Court of....) he can get his right wing judges to back a steal which is what the game plan has been for a long time.

You should be aware that US commentators are openly talking about this as a coup now, the question is whether he intends to continue on the coup path in reality or whether he he only wants to do it for appearances, his ego is so fragile and what he is facing from state prosecutors on 21st of January has him trembling to the bone, he can only pardon himself or be pardoned by Pence for Federal crimes but he has a large back catalogue of allegations in relation to events in New York State for a start .

Biden is not going to go after Trump, the last thing he wants is for his Presidency to be all about Trump and he's dead right he needs to look to the future but that does not prevent state judicial systems investigating all the alleged fraud in his business dealings and congress might choose to open their own investigations into Trump's various abuses of the presidency during his term.

You do know that Trump had to be talked out of bombing Iran's nuclear facilities a week or two ago, he can still do all that kind of stuff and more in the next 58 days or so.

It could suit him to be Nero.

I am just pleased he (Trump) is on his way out and normality can be resumed. Looking forward to seeing John Kerry cracking on with climate change measures.

And now we have Biden, not yet declared as president, wading in against Brexit...

Ideally he should respect the voters choice, achieved properly on a first past the post basis.

What is staggering about the USA, with all its wealth and population is there seem to be no young politicians at the forefront of the parties.

There are, but they are derided as being left wing and given that the Democrats are almost identical to the Republicans those young progressive politicians don't get much access to power, but that is changing albeit slowly.

Well exactly it wouldn't stop there would it, or why not use nukes I mean he might as well do it right if he's going to do it and then he can use some more nukes every time someone else disagrees with him, I mean we can see how he behaves when anyone doesn't say YES SIR and stand at attention.

He would be absolutely out of his cotton pickin' mind if he starts bombing Iran's nuclear facilities.
Some of the ordnance could rupture the plutonium containment vessels thus creating a huge humanitarian catastrophe due to the release of radioactive dust particles into the air,
It would be times worse than co called "Dirty Bombs".

I do not think he can be that reckless

Donald Trump ‘talked out’ of bombing Iran nuclear plant | World | The Times

He literally asked what his options were, he's a child in a tantrum and wants to break all the toys before January the 20th.

Mohsen Fakhrizadeh: What were the motives behind his killing? - BBC News

Here we go nuclear scientist assassinated a couple of weeks after Trump is convinced not to bomb Iran, that's going to be just great for future diplomacy.

Yeah I know the finger is pointing at Israel.
