I know all this, why do you find the need to try to tell it to me it? Your response has nought to do with my response to Larrys post!

You are aware that the only lawyers he could get are the absolute dregs basically because there is a very large chance he won't pay them, where's Rudi :D

And are you aware that Trump is reported as being furious about this lot (doubt they will get paid :D), I mean one of them suggested locking up Trump a few days ago

I am triggered in this case by your "innocent until proven guilty" comment, that's what I am actually replying to, when they acquit him I am pretty sure that you, like many others, will use that to claim that he was innocent all along.

It is a political trial, it is not the same as a court trial.

Will I! you appear to know me better than I know myself:lol::lol::lol::lol:
It is a political trial, it is not the same as a court trial!!! I know which makes Larrys post even more alarming.

Larry is forever missing out half of his argument.

There is zero chance of Trump going to jail after the impeachment, what happens if the Georgia courts try him for election tampering is another matter altogether after they opened a criminal investigation against him 3 days ago for his "attempts to influence the administration of the 2020 Georgia General Election".

Totally agree. I've had so many political arguments to last me over the last few weeks with trumpist nongs on twitter that these things no longer bother me. It's impossible to argue with someone who simply invents their own reality as you say. I'll be disappointed but totally unsurprised when the senate fails to support the impeachment. I doubt very much that it will help. Republicans will believe its because trump was innocent and Democrats will simply see the senate as being hopelessly self interested. It's a real mess and I worry that the situation will simply get worse.

There you go they acquitted him.

Be it on their heads when this monster does all this again, if he is not jailed in other criminal trials he will be back stirring up hatred again in 2024.

I though McConnell said it well they were led by Trump and his delusion -- Trump as acquitted.

I suppose he did admit that much. I'm disappointed in Mitch. After saying the vote was a vote of conscience he seems to have lost his. At least the end of the impeachment hopefully takes trump out of the spotlight.. Biden was wise to distance himself. Maybe if he addresses the covid and economic issues then things will calm down and become more positive.

Sorry but Murdoch's Sky Australia is incredibly right wing and has been pushing this kind of story in the US and elsewhere and it is crap.

It's time people woke up and understood that their real enemy is the likes of Murdoch and the giant multi national corporations that side with him, these right wing oligarchs are selling a fantasy that keeps them rich and you poor and it does it with your support ("your" does not literally mean you Dom I am speaking generally).

I was looking at News Corp's right wing leanings also.

Look at Tucker Carlson in the USA, another born into money ultra privileged, "do as I say not as I do" character, constantly beats the drum of populism but you would never find him in the company of the people he is preaching too, same as Trump a man of the people, a people that he despises and would never spend a moment with.

Populism is a tool for manipulation to these people a means to an end they themselves have zero interest in the common man or any common cause with ordinary people.

The last president that I remember mixing with "normal" people was Jimmy Carter.

Regardless, it seems that Biden's mind is on a collision course with a dementia ward, he does not appear to be fully functional

Yes, will he make it through his first term, Dom?
    It is a bit worrying.

In the next six month he will be replaced by the harris harridan on medical grounds and then sparks will fly. In my opinion, it was pre planned from the start to give her a stepping stone to the presidency without having to run for it herself as I doubt very much she would have had much support that way.
I still don't like this dubious "Democratic" way America elects its presidents.

I haven't read anything about Kamala Harris that looks unsavoury.

Whilst I dont disagree, Rupert didnt make Joe stumble up the steps, there is lots circulating in all the mainstream media about Joe not being upto it.
