boiled eggs.

    by far the greatest frustration in my life is peeling hard boiled eggs.

    Any reliable ways of doing this so the egg isnt torn to bits ?

    pour cold water on the egg as soon as you take it out of the pan

    yep--every time.

    do you suggest peeling them when still hot--or wait till they are cold ?

    fill the cooking sauce pan with running cold water leave to run.
    wait till cold. crack it all over and peel it slowly under running water

    exactly what i did today: took ages--and gert chunx of egg white torn out.

    1. Crack the egg all over by tapping it on your counter.
    2. Roll the egg gently between your hands to loosen the shell.
    3. Peel the egg starting at the large end. If you hold the egg under cold running water or dip it in a bowl of water this will help remove the shell.

    i wonder if i cook them too long. The membrane under the shell seems to be the problem.

    Make scrambled eggs tastes nicer and vastly easier to make :D

    Hard boiled..mashed with mayo..slices of ham.
