As we seemingly have agreed to allow EU citizens to stay here in the UK (3 to 5 million), plus their close relatives. It was illustrated on the news tonight that there will be easy online process for less than £100.

I have no issue whatsoever about Europeans having indefinite access to the UK but one cannot feel slightly agitated at the process us Brits have to go through to get our non-EU partners to the UK. It really does make me question who is on my side sometimes!

I genuinly feel done-to by my own government.

£65 per adult, kids half-price for what is effectively ILR - around one hundredth of the cost of getting a Filipina spouse to the same stage. And not forgetting that some 40% of the citizenry are priced-out of that "market". You have every right to feel aggrieved; I would be.

About a month ago, the EU Commission said that after Brexit it would charge British citizens an administrative fee of £7 for a visa to visit a EU country. I read that the Commission is now proposing to charge a bit more - £43 more to be exact! I may be wrong, but it does seem that we Brits are being unfairly singled-out (ie punished) as it would appear that Americans, Australians etc., will only pay the proposed £7 admin fee to visit the EU.

If a brit marries anyone, it should be a damn sight easier than it is. That system was however open to abuse with fake marriages ( which ironically we see today with EU citizens in the UK ).

Keeping the LTR and FLR and ILR process should filter out fake marriages although you will have to cope with UK born children. Even so, as outrageous some loop holes may seem, you have to put in context of many loop hole exploiters there will be. This is a UK issue though. In any other EU country ( I think ) they can bring in a non EU spouse almost automatically. Even a brit in say Germany, although they still could not return to the UK.

That depends entirely on the country and the sponsor's citizenship. For example, I am British, my wife is Filipina and her visa for her to become a Maltese Resident cost me €0.00 (although I did have to pay VFS' charges). But a Maltese citizen wishing to import his Filipina wife would have to undergo a rather similar process to that you're currently undergoing.

You're also incorrect in saying that a Brit married to a Filipina and living in Germany can not bring his wife to the UK. He can, thanks to a High Court ruling known as "Surinder Singh" and @KeithAngel has already achieved this.

They are and will remain EU Citizens so have freemovement outside of the uk but if they have PR(ILR)

and they leave the uk they will lose the right to return after 2 years

I would like to see EU citizenship not lost except by choice of all us brits or at least those that have used it
yes but singh is not mentioned in the "settlement visa" for EU Citizens in the UK and after we leave the uk can and will revert to rules for UK cits
