Hi. My girlfriend lives in Quezon City in Manilla in the philippines and i was wondering if anyone here can tell me the name of a solicitor and their location or and buisness name in Quezon City?
I asked her to get these photocopies of documents certified for her visitor visa and she has concerns that some solicitors may try and scam and take advantage of the situation. If anyone can name a good genuine solicitor for a reasonable price i would me more than grateful. Thankyou.

We are just finalising our documents etc for her v visa which she will apply for in august. Thankyou

She can take her original documents to any lawyer's office where, for a modest fee, a secretary will photocopy them and get a lawyer to certify the copies. The fee you pay will largely depend on the plushness of his office but allow Php 200 per sheet with a minimum charge of Php 1000 and you won't go far wrong.

Is there a difference between a lawyer and a public notary?

IIRC most, if not all, Philippine lawyers are also Notaries Public - but as here, not all Notaries Public are lawyers!

In Phil, you can't notarize docs if you're not a lawyer.
