Hi, My fiancée has been granted her 6-month Settlement/Marriage visa from Dubai, with the travel date for end of January 2019. On the visa application we stated I would be travelling with her from Dubai to UK, and my name has been included on the visa (I'm assuming cause we plan to travel to UK together?). As there's over 9-weeks till she can come to UK, we're wondering if it's permissible for her to return to Philippines for the 9-weeks, and come to the UK direct from Manila on the travel date, instead of from UAE, or would she be prevented from leaving Manila cause the visa was issued for travel from UAE to UK? After paying recently for false information from UK Immigration Advice link, I'm not confident of getting the correct response from them with this issue. Thanks for any advice & opinions you're able to share!
No issues as the visa was issued by UKVI. If flying from the PH and getting married in the UK, might be worth booking an appointment for CFO seminar to show PH immigration before she leaves. -I’ve posted your query in a page where somebody might have an idea about it, hope the answer above helps! Cheers!
It shouldn’t be a problem if she flies from Manila but I would heed the advice given above on getting the CFO (if she haven’t already) since she will be flying from Manila coz the Immigration Officers there will surely ask for it. About having your name on her visa, just wanna say that it’s actually standard having the partners name on a fiancé visa. Even if you are not travelling with her your name will still be on the visa.
