yes, my two kids are both British citizens, one was born here and other one in the UAE. How about FLR? Can I not apply from here? With all the delays with UKVI, it seems to me that going back to the Phil is not an option as I have two young children to look after here. :(

    Bigmac,
would it be possible for me to travel to Ireland for a short holiday with my family when my 180days is up and come back so I get another 6 months here?

So my daughter gets a sticker later too? I paid 3780 for each application for the scanning. U pay it at VFS. Btw, the premium lounge is already the premium service. But if ur talking about the service where ur application will be expedited, then its the priority service. U can pay it online of the vfs website.

Hi! I think the service that ur talking about is the priority service where ur application can be expedited. There is a member here where she paid for priority but still got her visa after 60 days. So i dont know if it's worth using it.

Thanks for your reply, Yes your daughter needs a sticker, you can find out about that when you attend the seminar. We were told our son get same time a my wife

I think there is some confusion about what each service its called

The Premium Lounge - 1200 peso approx - This is no queuing & Comfort and privacy @ VFS

The Priority Service (Sometimes refered to as Premium Service) - 65000 peso approx - This is where your VISA decision is expedited front of the queue

    We have Premium Lounge already...
its the Priority Service I'm looking at getting.

Yes I've read that also, it is a worry especially as I have 2 applications.
I've also read for Priority Service we need CENOMAR... is the the same CENOMAR before we were married or a new one showing my wife as being married.... Crazy Requirement...

i just missed the priority service--made the application a few weeks before it was introduced.
would i have used it then?--YES--decision in 10 days !

now--NO WAY--its been taking 60+working days ( 3 months )--since being moved to sheffield.

i'm sure several recent success stories would agree with me.

    but--its your money !

Ah ok. The premium lounge is 2625 each application. The priority i think u can pay it online on the vfs website.

The guy at the premium lounge kept telling me the standard processing time is 3 months or more. It's a bit weird he told me that for three times.

Are you asking can you get 1 visit visa then go to Ireland then get another visit visa?

He works here in the UK but offshore in north sea. This makes it more difficult for me to go away as no one will be looking after my son who just started school.

No, since my long term family visit visa only allows me to stay for 180days in the UK, I could possibly exit to any other countries (I can easily get short term visit visa/tourist visa) then come back to the UK after a short holiday with my family. That will give m another 180days to stay.

i cant think of any other solution than you return to the philippines--apply for your settlement / spouse visa from there----then you can return to the UK before your visit visa expires. it is a multi entry visa. so --the sooner you do this--the better. ive never heard of anyone enroling their child while on a visit visa !

but for gods sake--whatever you do--do NOT overstay your present visit visa.

What the UKBA will look at is are you attempting to misuse your visa by making the UK your permanent home albeit with short trips abroad after 180 day.
I agree with @bigmac you need to look at long term resolution.

Just refreshed my memory .... be aware that under the Eligibility section of long term visit visa it states that your visa can be cancelled or and you can be barred from further visas of there is evidence of you staying in the UK for long periods.

what i said above--i forgot she would have to hand in her passport to vfs--so cant return to UK while she waits.

or is there some way she could get her passport back while she waits for the decision ?

My husband is British, kids are British, we have our own home and pay council tax 40% tax (husband) I don’t see any reason why my son shouldn’t be accepted in school here just because I am on visit visa. We are definitely the most genuine family applying for settlement visa. Been married for 4 years, only that we lived abroad for a few years, I have used long term family visit visa since we got married only because we did not live in the UK permanently, we come over twice a year and stayed not longer than 3 months as husband’s job is overseas. Now, his contract is finished, this is the only place we have a home for our kids. I registered my address here as permanent home and got loads of Letters from NHS, Bank, DVLA etc to support my claim I live here. However, it’s my bloody visit visa is the only possible reason they will refuse my application if I apply in the UK.
