I just put mine (my wifes) in for an unlock. Definitely expensive. But I passed this site on to two other iPhone owners who want to unlock an iPhone.

    Cheers.

It's definitely much faster than iPhone 4S and higher resolutions! I also have the Note 2 and they are equally good! ;)

I may be missing something here  but I rang O2 and said I would be using a Philippine SIM for a few months and they unlocked Tex & mine for free.?
Ours are iPhone 3 though I dont know if that would make a difference.:erm:

ALWAYS best when answered by O2 Indian call center. :vhappy:

They don't make fuss with older models! :) After finding this cheap unlocking website, before purchasing I called Vodafone and they are actually going to unlock my iPhone 5 because they said it should not be locked having bought from Carphone warehouse they said they will unlock it within 15 days after purchased! :) Isn't Vodafone amazing? :D

ISN'T Vodafone amazing ??? IMO ALL 'phone companies are AMAZING in how they have turned paying for a simple comunicating devise into a multyMillionTariff conundrum! which ALWAYS works in their favour...;)

I must agree, in oz the three top phone companies have all reduced their data limits.... for the same price at the same time, truly amazing, obviously there was no collusion as that is illegal in Australia, just pure coincidence of course.... truly amazing...:erm:

Got my iPhone 5 the other day - doesn't seem much different than the 4 to me at the moment.
Maybe I should fiddle more with it, but I got it to take advantage of the 4G when it rolls out shortly.

    :like:

My boss and his wife have just swapped out to the 5 so I got a glimpse. Much lighter eh?

I bought his iPhone 4 and gave it to my wife as a pressie - cost a fortune to get it unlocked though.......

It is a little lighter but not significantly so, in my hands anyway

There is no 'official' unlocking site for any Apple product. When you unlock it you void the Apple warranty :)

nop- factory unlocking does not void the warranty- jailbreak unlock does-

We bought iPhone4's for both myself and wife online at the US Apple Store website and then have sim only contracts (I retain one in the UK with vodafone as well). Overall it works out much cheaper. We also went for the older phones, but don't see ourselves upgrading for a while as we are happy with the 4 still.

I had an iPhone 4 that I bought 2 and a half years ago. It eventually developed a home button fault (took more than one press to operate). As it was out of warranty I paid Apple £129 to part exchange it for a brand new iPhone 4, like for like. A few weeks later I was given an iPhone 5 at work. So I gave my son the iPhone 4.

I was surprised to find that yes, it is possible to buy a new iPhone 4 still and at a considerably reduced price.

I bought a second hand iPhone4 some months back, for my wife. I had a new back fitted to it as it had a crack in it and had it unlocked as it was locked to O2 which is no good to us in I of M. I forget the price of the unlocking (over £50) but it was extortionate. I was expecting a fiver or something like that. Works well though. The wife is pleased with it.

Funnily enough I also replaced my iPhone4 for the out of warranty price in January. I was in the UK and had a few weeks prior managed to destroy the phone in water and visited the Apple store in Southampton to purchase a new one, when she advised that they could replace it at the genius desk/bar place. The only confusion was that somewhere along the line I'd swapped simtrays with my wife and that is where the IMEI number is written, so the phone was showing up as a White iPhone rather then a black one, but anyway they resolved it and replaced the phone. Superb service.
