    As promised, I said I will post the documents that I have submitted as guidance for those who are processing their visa applications. I know we have submitted some documents that is not really required but we think these are all important for the ECO to see. Always keep in mind that in applying we need to convince the ECO that we deserve the visa so , submit all the pertinent papers that you think will help them easily decide (well, that's what's on our mind while we are preparing all these). Remember, I am not an expert I am just sharing this as it worked for us.

    Thanks for the info but I am astounded.

    When Elaine came to Spain in 2006 as my wife, we were required to submit about 10 'bits if paper'. The fee was 30 euros.

    Glad I did not live in UK

    Yes, it's a lot of effort and a lot of cash :(:(:(. By the way, the above list is for my application only, I have 2 separate applications and documents for my 2 kids and spend almost 6,000 quid for the applications. I know it's painful but I am just happy that it was approve;););)

    Hi Filipina,

    Congratulations and thanks for the info.

    Just wanted to ask how long did it take for the UKVI to process your visa?

    If you use the priority service you should get an answer in 10 days although the UKVI are not meeting the 10 day deadline at the moment. Using the normal level of service getting a response really depends on how straightforward your application is and the information you provide. My wife and I got er spouse visa response in 20 days however with other applicants it goes beyond 50+days.
    Good luck with the application

    Oh dear...I was going to use the priority service as per advised by the people at VFS good thing I changed my mind the last minute as it is ridiculously expensive. I got refused the first time and applied again instead of appealing, would you know it will take more than...say 60 working days of waiting? I really appreciate it.

    Thank @Mattecube

    @Mattecube I know I should be more patient but today I'm just overly anxious. I have emailed UKVI a week ago (I know it was too soon to ask for an update) but have not gotten a reply from them yet. Hopefully, everything goes well this time as it was only the english test that was the problem. The solicitor we hired said UKVI 'MIGHT" consider my english test despite it being expired hence the refusal. Pardon my ignorance, but what does CFO stand for and where is the seminar? Thanks

    @Mattecube Thanks for the link.

    As for the english test, I took another test as soon as I got back here in the Philippines. That was February I think. That's what I submitted along with my application. Hopefully,UKVI won't find any reason to refuse my application.
