Coconut Oil and Alzheimer’s. Fairly easy to get hold of coconut oil in the Philippines I presume? https://coconutoil.com/coconut-oil-research-alzheimers/
I am guessing coconut oil must be not only easy to come by, but very cheap in the Philippines... and aswell as rocket fuel it must be great to fry with.
MCT oil, only been using that for 2 weeks, have to buy it on-line with Lazada, P1,200. I find so far beneficial giving me energy, I did some jogging and sprinting ( not far) out of breath after but felt good, not done that since 20 years ago. Not bad for a 67 year old. I thought I might have had knee problems after running, back in the UK both my knees were bad.
I am not certain as I don’t test for ketones but I think I dip in and out of ketosis. But I don’t go out of my way either way. Often the breakfast I have is almost carb free, before I go to work or very low with a very low carb lunchbox. So I do a full days work with very few carbs and that is to say physical work. So I must be burning fat even if it is the fat that I have eaten that morning.
And why not. There seems to be an assumption that once we get to a certain age, that’s it. But it isn’t the case at all.
I've not tried the MCT oil. Seems to be having some good reviews. I'm seeing different types of MCT oils on Amazon. Is there a certain type of MCT oil that is best to use?
I have never tried it. I have come across a lot of people who have. I have tried coffee with butter. I used to start the day with that when I was driving for a living for a short spell. The butter is very filling. I never got around to making a true bullet proof coffee. I believe it is a certain grade of coconut oil.
Just look for the reviews, I got mine on Lazada. Bought some extra virgin coconut oil tried that and felt full most of the day just one tbs.
And if you can’t get coconut oil in the Philippines, where can you get it? Just wondering if you could make your own?
I suppose you could, l think my wife made some a few years ago, got plenty of coconut trees in the garden.
