Just a little background about me. I'm 29 years old woman who has a good paying job, a nice house and cars here in Manila, Philippines. I met a british guy from an online dating site and we've been together for 4 years now. We've seen each other for few times already and have also travelled to different countries together. The guy is 6 years younger than me and just started a career as an electrician. Since we met, hes always pushing me to move to England and be with him but he doesnt have his own house. He only lives with his grandma's house. Everytime we see each other he doesnt treat me well as hes always depressed about me not moving to England. He would always say he loves me with all his heart and soul but would always make me cry and his only reason was because hes mad at me for not commiting about selling everything that i have (my house and lot, cars, give up my work) and move to England with him.
Up until now we still argue about this as im not really sure if its worth to gamble everything for him. I mean he wants me to buy us a house, pay for the visa fees, pay for the wedding and everything in between. In return he said he would work his ass off and share his salary to me. I know its a dumb question but, Do you guys think its worth the risk to give up my life here in the Philippines and move to England? Should i trust him? I've been confused for 4 years now.

Honestly, in a word - no! You should not risk everything for him, given his attitude and the fact that he has everything to gain and nothing to lose. Tell him to move to Manila and "work his ass off" there if he wants to be with you!

    My advice: run, don't walk.

He would always say that im not getting any younger and soon im turning 30, so he said he wants us to be together in England as soon as possible. Cuz if we keep waiting til hes stable, i might not be able to have a kid anymore. Yikes

Sis, I just married my hubby only January this year and I'm already 31. There's no issue with age. Did you ever meet his family and friends here in UK? Don't give up your life there for a guy who doesn't know how to be a real man. I'm ok with shared things and expenses but to let you pay all? That's a very big NO.

    Next please!

Yes sis, i stayed in England in his grandma's house for 6 months. Not a very pleasant experience as he would always make me cry and my bestfriend and her hubby who lives in Kent, would always pick me up from my bfs house in colchester because of it. His family on the other hand, were very nice to me. They treated me like a family member.

Reading what @Miims has put so far even if he earned twice as much as he does now she should give him a wide berth. Should she decide to marry him I would suspect she would be in for a life of misery and sadness.

i'm sure most of us "white" guys on here treat our filipina wives a whole lot better then he treats you. he just doesnt know how lucky he is. but he will find out when he loses you----which will be a lot sooner than he may think.

Really? Is he absolutely positive about that? Most electrical apprentices are paid around £200 - £250 a week (£10,400 - £13,000 a year) although the minimum wage requirement is just £3.75 per hour (equivalent to £150 per week). Don't take my word for it, it's all in back and white here.
Do you really think he'll treat you any better in the future - when you've sold your house and cars, paid for your visa, the wedding, the honeymoon and so on - oh and bought him a house?

Run. Very fast. Don't look back.

Contrary to what you may think, many Filipinas are attracted to us whiteys - and some are obsessed with having white skin themselves and spend heavily on whitening products. Part of the reason is that quite a number of Philippine actors and actresses are the offspring of mixed-race marriages and are considered to be more visually attractive than pure-breds. So many Filipinas want to breed with Caucasian males so that their children are "beautiful" with 'proper' noses - good news for us!
