    Most of us will remember the Philippines buzzing with activity and tourists everywhere.
    The economic crash around the world in 2008 followed by Coronavirus at the end of 2020 has hit the country hard because tourism has mostly gone.
    Ten years is a long time to wait for recovery. :(
    Has anyone visited there in during this pandemic?

    No, I checked out flights yesterday for Mid to late March next year, on pointing out to my wife the Flights her reply was "still have to quarantine" so though i know she wants to visit family she realises the costs due to quarantine here and there are to prohibitive.

    Canada's actually cheaper to fly to as there's no direct flights to ottawa so have to go via Toronto or Montreal (which I don't like).

    Most of us fell for the charms of olive-skinned beauties with beautiful dispositions but with a Manny P. ferocity behind the smiling facade :eek:

    My good lady has pinoy heritage but is fortunate enough to have been born in Canada, only 8 hours flight if we want a vacation :)

    I was talking about Canada John, Hahaha I know why you asked now :D.

    Beginning at 12:01 a.m. EDT on September 7, 2021, fully vaccinated foreign nationals will be eligible to enter Canada for discretionary (non-essential) reasons, such as tourism;

    It's fall there at the moment, we did a biplane flight over Gatinau a few years ago, the forest colours were fantastic :) and more importantly its our first time to sleep in our new place which was bought off-plan but finished in January of this year :)

    I'd take that with a pinch of salt. I know for a fact that locals living near me have had covid 19 fever but never have been teasted. whole families have had the fever but let the covid 19 take it's course, they have no money for test and that's just in my barangay, must be hundreds of thousands not had the test in the Ph.
