Hello, I hope everyone are well ! Just want to ask if someone here recently take a English B1 ? I took my English test last week in leeds trinity SELT . Not sure if they change how the exam will be,I am aware the exam consist of speaking and listening. I was expecting they will conduct a listening test but in my case they don't. Does anyone here recently did the exam only speaking ? Do I missed something? Not sure if I took the right English test. ..
Hi @Mae , I took my B1 life skills test In Cardiff , last 25th of July . The test was in two parts , speaking and listening.
Thank you for the responsed @emz , not sure with mine as I only done speaking through video call . I have my certificate and its says there B1 , tried email the selt trainity but doesn't answer my inquiries which is they only send me the link instead. Anyway, thank you ! I just expecting the exam should be speaking and listening.
It's the not the same traditional 'listening' tests you'd normally do in other exams. Like listening to a CD/Tape and answering questions. This exam really is just a test of your comprehension of any questions the examiner asked you (E.g. What did you do for Holiday..) - so being able to respond fluently literally passed you!
