Hi guys, does anyone know an address for customs in manila?
I've sent a parcel with documents inside for a visa application, its held in customs since Monday, and we need it for Tuesday, I've rang parcelforce about 5 times they don't seem to want to help.

Oh and sorry your parcel got held up. I wonder why coz when my husband sent his docs via DHL, it was fairly fast.

Haha , to be fair timmers Parcelforce have been good until now and I guess its not really their fault, its the customs bloody holding on to it, If it not released tomorrow, Il have to re arrange her visa appointment as its on Tuesday hope its straight forward to do,I read you can change up until 24hours before the appointment date/time

You're right of course Steven, the courier can only deliver the package via the Philippine customs and that's where the problem lies.

I contract for a company in Belgium and rely on DHL/TNT to send me parts wherever I am in the world so I have spent many hours on courier websites tracking packages and keeping my fingers crossed. On one occasion DHL sent a package I was waiting for to the wrong country, I was in France and the package ended up being shipped to the Czech Republic :)

All in all though the service DHL and the like provide are pretty reliable but there will always be the odd hiccup as we know.

I hope you get the visa sorted as soon as, let us know how you get on.

She got it now, we found the address of the customs and she went there this morning and after bit of haggling she got it, I think there was abit of the mysterious tax going on, and she was told only open mon-Fri.
They told her it was suspicious as it over 1kg which it is actually just under ( 0.899), also what made it worse is the lady at the post office where i posted it from couldn't have declared what's inside , I think they stick the declaration to it, but that also made them suspicious , but least we have it now.

I used Parcelforce once to send a package to the Philippines and vowed never again, I would use DHL in future.
