I am stunned there are not more accidents in Hong Kong from people walking in busy streets, head down, fiddling with a mobile phone. In the UK, I take great pleasure in ploughing my way through groups of people who block both sides of the escalator and not moving out of the way for people staring at their phones. I'd rather British cities did not remove this pleasure for me.
