Maybe he was partially right, Howerd - I must be getting old but hopefully not sad.........The original thread title was "A friend. Great! Love...wow"

I think the young Filipinas he has been trying to court here at BF have had a lucky escape, he obviously goes off on one from time to time :)

I was not going to post anything further on this thread, but MrSunrise annoyed me greatly by editing the thread title and insulting everyone here.
So in return, I edited it too, slightly....

It is now obvious that this misguided person, with his search of Pinays in situ, is hoping to find no committment encounters of the exotic one night stand sort.
I am afraid that he may not achieve much in that direction. In fact he may well have been rebuffed for trying, and happened to stumble upon us here, looking for easier prey.
    No such thing here....
I do admit that, most probably, from time to time, you may find the rogue one, but it is going to be a difficult quest.
In my view, you don't have what it takes to court or initiate a relationship, however fleeting, with a Filipina.
You can well mark me "dumb" again, you won't be chastised for that, but I will do it if you ever post anything denigrating the members of this forum, our wives/GF's, the Philippines or the forum itself.

Yes, as I said,LDR can be an absolute nightmare, but if I had the choice, I would do it all over again, because my wife is also the best friend and confidante, I ever had. She is part of me.

The sad thing about people who just see Asian ladies (Filipinas in our lives) as an easy conquest without any effort is that they miss out on all the wonderful things that countries over there can offer. They miss out on the warm feeling that comes from watching and getting to know Filipinos.
Mentioning the Philippines here will in no way enlighten them to the warmth of the whole Filipino race which people have to see with their own eyes.
These experiences than stay with people forever. They will never really be amazed at the streets of smiles, the little villages full of small children who all look after the even littler ones and babies.
People who look for the easy fix will therefore miss out on true warmth.

What Mr Sunrise simply doesn't get is that it is he who is the sad old man here, not the other male members of this forum who have sweet Filipina partners. And he doesn't! He's not prepared to put in any effort into finding and romancing one - preferring instant gratification - and almost certainly doesn't understand that Filipinas almost always want to be courted in a rather old-fashioned way.

I think Mr. Sunrise may be more welcome 'on the other side'

Errr.. No thank you.. He is perfectly fine just where he is!!
If he does try to sign up on the other side he might well discover what a fatal error does.

You can only sign up 'on the other side' AFTER the fatal error has occurred.

Hi Mr Sunshine.. If you don't pursue to find your love then it won't come to you. You have to act fast. Long distance relationship is hard but if you face the challenges you might meet someone who is very caring, loving and thoughtful and take note money is not important if you really want the woman you want to be with. I've known friends who got married to British man who fully accepted that the woman has 2 kids from previous marriage. He pursued and got married in Philippines then and went back to UK and start fresh and have a wonderful kid. If you consider this option for yourself then I can help you out. Take care then and May God Bless you
