You will need to make an appointment at vfs London, Manchester or Edinburgh prior to that you will need to book, Travel, Hotels, Insurance, Bank Statements, letter of employment, payslips, everything that they ask for. My wife went to her appointment without what they said adequate insurance so she had to make another appointment.
It's a pain in the backside because appointments are not easy to get and my wife had to fly up to Edinburgh twice with all the expense involved, good luck.

    All in this linkhttps://home-affairs.ec.europa.eu/p...policy/applying-schengen-visa_en#main-content
The French use an agency TLS as their administrators and when we used them getting an appointment wasn’t the easiest thing to arrange.
Also they appear to be particular on travel insurance we went with Full European cover and this wasn’t enough it had to be worldwide cover no idea why. Fortunately they gave us an hour to sort it which was done by e mails.
Give yourself a few months time wise to sort it

Sounds like it's probably easier to pop down the English Channel and see if you can get a dinghy ride :D

If she has ILR, who not get British Citizenship? It solves a lot of problems with travel once she gets a British passport.
