Stoners say the same about a party without weed, heroin addicts say the same about a party without brown, coke users say the same............
    Et al.
I say the same about tea and biccies :)

Don't take this personally, Druk1, but it would be interesting if you went to a party where everyone was drinking alcohol. If you whipped out your teapot and rich tea, you would have many people trying to rope you into their stumbling madness.

I used to love being with many people and sharing whatever "poison" everybody was into.
Some of the funniest moments and memories in my life were of nights like that.
But, as I said, kids came along

I don't do peer pressure, I was in a pub in Slough last Friday as some guys I know from sunderland are working on the roads there, you can see my coffee mug :) alcohol would be a poison to me, I don't need any such crap in my life, never saw the attraction of it, nor ciggies, nor heroin, but I ain't going to pontificate to anyone who wants or needs it, their bodies their choice. My friends were all inebriated last week, one of them wanted to fight an Indian gent he was convinced was staring at him  I found it all quite strange and stuck to my latte. I have tried to stop drinking alcohol many times over here. Just can't sleep if I don't have any booze. Longest I have been without booze is 3 weeks but I have had a fever for the first week.
My excuse is the warm humidity conditions. If I was back in the cold dank UK I may probably stop, couldn't afford to drink over there anyway.:greedy:

I used to be a big drinker, now I can do without it as it’s not easy to drink alone! We both drink occasionally now. :)

I had a couple of gin/bitter lemon drinks last night as I am not driving trucks for 36 hours.
I haven't drunk alcohol for years but have the occasional one now that I am back "in the saddle" again.

Oh! That Tanduay! It reminds me of my late Dad! He drinks Tanduay every day too! He has to have at least half of the flat bottle or he wouldn’t be able to sleep! :(

There's different qualities of Tanduay, depending on the age. I drink the 5 year old stuff with diet coke and ice. You can get 15 year old Tanduay. Comparing it with Bacardi! Not had Bacardi for more than 20 years .
I would not know the difference.
Filipinos drink it straight but have a glass of water to swill it down with.

Talking about drugs, the last time I smoked was in March 1986, I used to smoke up to 60 a day, after the budget today I happened to notice that the duty had gone up but was gobsmacked to see that a packet of 20 before today cost £12.63, people are burning, today, 63 pence with every fag they light up, good god!

You used to be able to buy a ton of rolling tobacco for around £450,a small manual machine to process or shred it, could have had a lifetimes smokables for less than a bag of sand.
