Am I right in saying that's if we are intending to relocate overseas? If we were travelling in and out the CFO is not needed? My plan had been that we would have my daughter travel In/Out of the Phils on her Filipina passport and In/Out of the UK on her British Passport.

I guess that is possible but there are limitations using either. I guess it depends how long you will be in/out as to which passport to use. Though switching between the two on an single in/out would not be possible with the passport having to be stamped.

Okay, a bit of clarity - We are living in Philippines... the British passport is new and unused (in our possession). The Philippines passport has been used before and is 2 years old. We want to head out to the UK for a few weeks... what are the obstacles or downside of using the Philippines passport to exit the Philippines, the British passport to enter and then exit UK, before re-entering the Philippines on the Philippines passport at the end of the vacation? Am i looking at it too simplistic?

Would you mind expanding on the limitations you alluded to?

What you have suggested would work IMO. There are no limitations if you use the passports in the manner you have stated. In regards to the CFO my understanding is that it's required when leaving the PI as a Fiancé, Spouse, immigrant or for employment but I don't know if that is conclusive.

The question came up on my email as I am subscribed to this thread, so I answered it.

Now run away and play with your friends.

    If you have any.
