Yes, Chelsea did get the whole 3 points. Which was the objective of the exercise...

But for me it was not a victory to brag about. Not a lot of class left in the team
It felt like a season warm up game, minus the zillions of substitutes..

Philosophically speaking t is a start I guess.
Sincerely hope it gets better as the season develops, and the newbies in the team get to gel with the oldies.

Whilst recognising that it is early days yet, I must admit to a perverse sense of satisfaction every time Man UTD loses a game, even more so than any scouser alive.

So I already opened the "take the mickey" gate for some of my ex work colleagues, which used to be kind of mean=ish to me in the office, as I was the only Chelsea supporter.

"Taking the mickey" is quite normal between any sets of supporters, Dom.
The only "hate" I have I have seen in England is between both supporters of Liverpool and Man Utd.
Seems silly to me but there are a lot of silly people in the football sphere.
I know there is "hate" between teams in Italy too.

    I know what you mean.
    But I disagree slightly.
The teams,as such, do not hate each other but it is the "Ultras" factions of their supporters that cause the aggro.
It has come to real stabbings in the past and a dead or three. Roma and Lazio "Ultras" are notorious for their organised violence by appointment.
A few years ago, one of the leaders of Lazio "Ultras" was sshot to death in an ambush, some people seem to be of the opinion of being drugs related.

https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/9677...r of notorious,on Wednesday, local media said.

Did not expect that to happen today.

Bit of a nightmare start to the season for Everton , Mike?

Absolute disgrace. Worst I’ve seen from Man Utd in all my years following them.

    Yeah... very average looking.

I'm not sure where Chelsea are going now - looks like they are trying to sign anyone rather getting in some real class ... sad to see Werner and Rudiger go ....

Wish they'd get rid of Azpilicueta or just play him as a sub - It would have been good to have seen more of the Academy youngsters given a chance to play together - I enjoyed the year they were banned from signing anyone.

I can see Spurs (and Arsenal) taking all 6pts from Chelsea this year.

If we lose 4 or 5 straight games, maybe Dom. If we sign a striker soon maybe things will change. It's early days...

That was bad, what sort of message are they giving to young football fans?

    PG13 maybe...
But I'd much rather see that than McClaren walking up and down with an umbrella...
