By the way, I am now, due to my age, legally entitled to be grumpy and obnoxious.
Indeed there are. And some signs in the Philippines too. But globally it isn’t yet enough.
I can see why Oss has lost interest.
I don’t want to get bogged down into the vegan debate. The information is out there , it’s just a question of not getting sucked in to the wrong info.
Man is an omnivore. Some say man is a carnivore but had to supplement the meat eating diet with grains during leaner times. Man isn’t a herbivore. A trip back through time (we are talking tens of thousands of years) , avoiding the wrong sources along the way, makes it very clear.
Food for thought. We wouldn’t exist as a species if a meat eating diet didn’t have all the nutrients necessary.
Many who eat a carnivore diet alone point out that we get all we need from the meat we eat. I am not comfortable with that even though they are right. Every essential nutrient is available from meat alone. This cannot be said of a herbivorous diet.
I understand veganism. I don’t condone it. It just doesn’t provide the nutrients. Start with Vit d but carry on from there.
Have you looked up the ongoing work of the two GPs in Southport. It’s ongoing, successful and they are training other GPs up on it from across the country. It is irrefutable. But there is always going to be people who will try and negate stuff like that.
I tried to give some help here on this. I don’t think it is welcome. So I will not mention food again. It’s been worth a try.
It's a winner !!!!!!!!!!!
My personal space ain't as crowded anymore...........
So are you saying " the message isn't being listened to" or the message is being listened to but not enough done at a good speed?
People losing interest because the pace of change is not there is unhelpful.
When I was in the Hospitality industry, I remember clearly trying my best to please a bunch of vegans that drove me to distraction..
Every single one of the 5 individuals wanted something different, on a menu that did not deal with vegan...
As I was unclear wether they were taking the proverbial or being serious I told them that the only 100%, hot vegan dish the chef was prepared to cook was "Mushroom Stroganoff and Pilaff rice".
In the end, Hobson's choice won the day.
i have a female friend that went fashionably vegan since i got to know her. shes permanently ill.
She probably thinks she isn’t eating enough vegetables.
I have seen some terrific vegan meals. But nutritionally they dont suffice in so many ways.
Not being heeded and acted upon enough. Great programme to watch though and watch we certainly do.
As you may know my mother in laws employer is/was a great activist and made some difference across the globe in terms of legal jurisprudence and inroads back home in the Philippines. So yes there are those that are doing something about it but also those that are still pooping in their own back yard and everyone else’s (metaphorically speaking of course).
The your initial response was inaccurate!
Partly right partly wrong. If the programme doesn’t help to galvanise change then it is wasted and remains just a nice program to watch. I would venture to suggest it was wasted on some. How does that suit you?
