Has anyone noticed the numbers of Indians, Pakistanis and Middle Eastern men who send "hello dear" messages to Filipinas?

My wife is on Facebook and I was shocked when she showed me how many men send her messages o_O

There are thousands of Filipinas who seem to want to post photos of themselves all the time, I mean it is almost an obsession. I wonder if it a Filipina trait or whether it is other Asian ladies too?

Of course, the attention was and is nice for any woman, no matter how many times I tell her she is beautiful

My wife doesnt have facebook though she does think about it every now and then. She must be the minority as well because she doesn't like pictures of herself on the internet, there are very few of me as well.

I get quite a few Facebook friends invites from Filipino women. I don't know them, and neither does Mrs M.

Pretty much any time I make a comment on a page related to Philippines it's pretty much guaranteed I'll get another.

I don't accept them but keep them on file just to be nosey!

Ha ha. More likely I look like I've got money to give away (which I haven't!).

Filipinas always get unwelcomed attention from Pakis, Indians and Middle Eastern men because they think Filipinas are easy, its as simple as that, that is the sorry truth. When my Mrs lived in Dubai she was often propositioned by taxi drivers and even once by an Indian Doctor when she went to see him on a medical matter. It disgusts me, that would not happen to an English girl, the above Nationalities have about as much respect for Filipinas as I do for them.

    1. Perceived as easy possibly due to the economic climate of the country pushing them into things they might not otherwise do.

    2. The nationalities of the men you mentioned don't have a great deal of respect for women full stop.

Respect for Filipinas is my number one gripe, I really do wish that they would stand up for themselves more and tell people who harass them and put them down to ***k **f

A couple of months back, K and I entered a sticky patch in our relationship. We now seem to be leaving it behind us, both somewhat the wiser for the experience, but, somehow, and I really don't know how, except that for about ten hours, at the height of the row, I altered my facebook status to "single", before altering it back again, "word got out" that, just possibly, this short, paunchy, short sighted, badly off foreigner might be "back on the market", because I was practically bombarded with FB "friend requests" from wimmin who were friends of friends or indeed friends of friends of friends. I was foolish enough to accept the first half dozen, all of whom were duly "unfriended", once their motives became apparent. Partly of course in self protection, lest K got the wrong end of the stick, but mainly because not only was I not interested, but their tactics included suggesting that she was not all she was cracked up to be, when in fact I knew better than they - a sample being that surely the cellphone reception (lousy) where she is could not be bad and she must be putting her phone off (no doubt whilst entertaining a string of boyfriends) when in fact i know, having been there, just what a cellphone black spot it can be.

    Miaow!

K does not use Facebook; she says it is a morass of tsismis...her eldest sister, on the other hand, can hardly keep away from it...

After reading your post Andrew I assume your friends of friends are no longer that, sad to hear so many Filipinas were trying to jump on the band wagon, not surprised though for the reasons we both know.

Maybe you're a better catch than you thought Andrew :D

Thing is, I would never in a million years have anything to do with a woman who thought she could cut out the woman I am committed to by badmouthing her, even if what she alleged was true. It's just not nice, and if I want to share my remaining time on this planet with someone, I had sooner that someone was nice.

It sounds more than a little desperate climbing over a so called friend to get to their loved one, goes to show that some girls will go to extraordinary lengths to get their man. Like your good self, that isn't a girl I would ever be interested in.

None of them were actually K's friends and relations; they were all "friends of..."

Here's a thing. Human perversity being what it is, the woman I am attached to doesnt really want to marry a foreigner, doesn't want to live abroad, etc.

I used to joke that if a pot bellied bald old man wanted to think he was the handsomest young buck on the planet, all he needed to do was to walk into a girlie bar in the Phillipines... now it seems he need not even do that! ;)

You have hit the nail on the head there Andrew, an excellent and very true comparison made, couldn't have put it better.

To be brutally honest, I would take a GRO from a girlie bar in preference to any woman who more or less solicits a relationship over social media. The latter might be a virgin who neither drinks nor smokes and a perfect housewife into the bargain, but she is just as much a prostitute, if not more so, and I would get the chance to try before I buy...

...she would have more get up and go about her, too...

I agree, a girl can be a prostitute without even selling their body, in many ways the girl in the girlie bar is less of a prostitute than the devious girls we are talking about.

I often say that stars on TV for example Jordan just prostitute themselves to sell their products and image for financial game, the common prostitute is often more down to earth and sincere.

I want to stick with the one I love. But I agree entirely.

I have a lot of sympathy for some of the girls in the bars. It can be said, and indeed my Fil-Am sister in law says it, that "there is always an alternative" (she should know; she was date raped as a teenage virgin and her son is now 16, she married the father just to ensure that the child was legitimate, then filed for and got an annulment and brought the boy up herself but she comes from a very strong family background and is part Japanese and part Chinese, traits which are very evident in her character - if she is not a millionaire by fifty I will be very surprised - she owns quite a lot of land and a business in Cebu whilst holding down two jobs in California - she gained US citizenship along the way). K is a gentler spirit and says that for some girls there may be no choice; they may have no family to help them take care of a child and the only work that allows them to spend time with a baby is bar work. Or the girl may be "working" to pay off a debt contracted for medical care for one of her parents, etc.

I too have never looked down on the working girl, we all have to make a living somehow to put a crust on the table. I have often found it very interesting talking to them and asking the same question as I'm sure you have, "why do you do it". In a way I think we all sell ourselves down the twists and turns of life its just them some ways of selling yourself are less frowned upon than others. It just bugs me when every Filipina seems to be tarred with the same brush, the Indians, Pakis and Middle Eastern men amongst others who think the Filipina is easy, I find that quite insulting to me personally.

Says more about the culture of the races of the men you mention Timmers, generally they have little respect for all women
